Sun 28 June 2010 Bramall Lane USA TV: ESPN, ESPN+ 8am ET Yeah, you saw that right! Contrary to yesterday's subjugation by NBC, now somewhat miraculously we're going to be on ESPN's flagship TV channel. [BTW, the above screenshot image is confusing if you look too close. The crests imply that it's @Sheffield but the Northbank is in background. And given the 3-3- PK shootout score listed, I'm really not sure when that was from because when we beat them in 2005 FA Cup the PK score was 4-2. Oh well, someone other than me might figure that image out] In any case, there's this other little precedent in fa cup history vs this lot... Best English save of all time? Banks? Seaman? It's a toss up. Emi Martinez, I hope you're not required to pull something like that off, but if you are... may the force be with you. p.s. that save saw us go to the 2003 final in Cardiff and hoist the cup. Looking for Omens?
man this team is gonna be really hard to break down as usual, after their last disappointing results, theyre gonna want to turn up against us
3-4-3 Martinez Mustafi Luiz Tierney AMN Willock Xhaka Kola Pepe Laca Saka No Guendouzi or Ozil on the bench.
Only chance of salvaging this season is to win the FA cup, I would be putting our best available team out there.
AMN gets a roll out. Will be keen to see how he performs. Given the sides still in the event I'm not pinning my hopes on seeing them lift the Cup this year, so I at least want to see them play well and show progress. None of that last 15 mins at Brighton crap. C'mon you Gunners!
Early but Arsenal's version of 3 at the back is struggling to get the ball upfield. Xhaka coming back to help but passing is failing them in middle of the pitch.
They scored. I walked away to get my laptop. Came back to the goal being wiped away. I'll make a point of doing that next time.
18' SHU looking good defensively, aided by a very static Arsenal front line. Blades also pressing quite aggressively, forcing at least 4 turnovers waiting out Arsenal's tepid build up play.
One of those matches so far where the combination of effort and positioning makes it look like Arsenal is playing a man down. Gunners always under pressure when they have the ball, always scrambling in defense.
