SUN 07 FEB 2021 Sheffield United FC v Chelsea FC GMT: 19:15 Venue: Bramall Lane The late game on a Sunday. We must win and we must start to score lots of goals and continue to keep a clean sheet at the back. Ethan Ampadu is ineligible to face his parent club. Thiago Silva is a major doubt because of the thigh strain he sustained against Tottenham. Kurt Zouma and Kai Havertz are also being monitored, having suffered minor injuries in training. Sheffield United have won three of their past five Premier League games - they are in good form - but they are still at the bottom of the table. Chelsea have earned seven points in three league fixtures under Thomas Tuchel, as many in their final eight matches under Frank Lampard. Tuchel is the first Chelsea boss to keep clean sheets in his opening three matches since Jose Mourinho in August 2004. The Blues have kept 10 Premier League clean sheets this term, one more than their entire total of last season. They have won 10 of their past 12 league fixtures against sides starting the day bottom of the table. Tammy Abraham has scored four goals in four league matches against Sheffield United, all at home. If selected, Olivier Giroud will be making his 250 Premier League appearance.
Anybody want to guess what the starting line-up might be? Kante in or out? Wong back or no wong backs? 4-2-3-1 Werner to play and score?
Interested to see if we stay in a back 3. If Alonso has taken the starting role from Chillwell. If Kante will start. If Pulisic is going to just be a super sub.
Interesting experiment with Warner playing alongside a big striker with mount in the,10 TT still trying things out on the hoof
it is irrelevant and a dead horse and glad to see us get 7 from 9 but worth noting against those same 3 teams Lampard was 8 wins 1 draw 1 loss by a combined score of 22-7 so Tuc has neither been proven a wonder or the opposite yet, and we need to a lot more purpose to our way (as we have the last month or so) and his line-ups still puzzle me, now lets win
Not a game for Jorginho, he is being out muscled in the middle, Kova is making the long passes for the forwards
Have to hope that we will grow into this game, sheff utd throwing everything at us early. Not sure its sustainable from them.
Timo not watching the line at all from a static position. Not something a player who wants to be a striker should fail at.
