    REFEREE STRUCK

After the game, several players got involved in a heated exchange with Trinidadian referee Noel Bynoe on the field and had to be separated by Jamaica's captain and central defender, Shavar Thomas, and some members of the team.

Despite the intervention of the Jamaicans in shielding the referee, one Cuban, Mikael Galindo, obviously thought he had not gotten enough satisfaction and took matters into his own hands by hitting Bynoe with a plastic bottle.

Galindo was dragged away by team-mates, but his action had apparently angered a section of the crowd which hurled two plastic bottles in his direction as he headed to the stands.
