Off the defender. His pass was not intended or executed that way. Happen stance.

He has a hell of a cross. Wonder when teams are going to start trying to get touch tight to him, because if he's out wide all game with space he's going to send in a fantastic ball or two. Old school wing play that's valuable to just about any team when done right.

He put a good ball into a dangerous area hoping one of his teammates would make a run and get on it. The first player just missed but that's why you want the backdoor runner. It's a fantastic ball because it's easy to attack which makes it hard on the defense and can result in a goal just like the one scored.

I think his point was that his cross his the defender who was 5 feet away from him, deflecting the ball slightly and making it a "good ball". Who knows where it goes if it didn't deflect, but quite obviously, it would not have gone where it went after the deflection.

He also sent in another ball which his teammate hit the crossbar. Tenerife are on fire, Cadiz is in 1st place and likely going up...will be interesting to see if Tenefire can grab a spot in the playoff rounds

I think it's time to up my reading glasses prescription again. I still can't see the ball hit the defender even though I'm looking for it.

The ball hit the defender 10 feet in front on him #22 hit upper arm area as he turned) and deflected in that direction. You missed it. Without that deflection the ball is closer to the penalty spot. The great pass was in fact just a deflected ball off the defender.

Right back at you. watch it multiple times. You can only see it at :07 and 18:19 seconds. Grab the video and go back and forth from 18 to 19 and its easy to see.

I still can't see it enough to say it hit the guy but I'll take your word for it. Ball does look like it may have have changed it's spin a bit and I'm sure you are right. Doesn't really matter anyways, it resulted in a goal and this cat seems to be on a bit of a tear.

It only matters in the sense that truth is important. Without seeing any of his games I will take you at your word that he's on a tear and playing well over a bunch of games. Thanks.

Well in the interest of truth, I will retract my statement that it was a sweet ball. How about he was involved in another goal? I have not seen him play either and will not likely get to see him play unless he gets a call up to the Nats. I'll refrain from discussing him further until that point. He is a fringe yank that seems to be doing well by most accounts. Definitely a player to keep an eye on.

All touches from the previous game where he had two assists is a very mixed bag. Great crosses though.

The ball definitely did take a deflection. Here's a better quality clip plus an alternate angle. If you slow it down, it's pretty clear. Overall, yeah, it does take away from this cross in the sense it's not perfectly where he aimed but his ability to whip in dangerous crosses is still very good.
