Very nice lineup, excited Petrucci is starting. I'll be able to catch only the second half.

Looking at the formation, would love to watch this game; any idea whether there will be a torrent for this one later on.

It's on at midnight, I guess with that line up it should be worth staying up for.

Can management please switch Anderson and Petrucci around? Anderson is getting way too many touches in the middle of the park.

Petrucci plays in Powell but he fluffs his lines.

What a pass by Petrucci. Good run by Powell too, but he has to finish that.

It was a good pass, but what was special there was the movement. He didn't have to do much, but by the time he got to the dangerous area, the defenders had switched off and he did well not to leave early.

Macheda doing his best to get sold/sent out on loan again it seems...

It also would be nice if we had a winger/wing-forward out on the left.

Kagawa is really easy on the eyes though.

Of the players on the pitch, Anderson seems to be doing the least. I'm a little concerned over Powell's lack of confidence. There have been multiple occasions when a pass to switch the field has been open but he's not taken on those. Ando has taken them on and found Shanghai players with uncanny ease.

edit: jeff070 -- Petrucci has been very good. Lots of touches for him, he's used the ball quite well. Done a fair amount of making space/time for himself and played a few good through balls. Also looked combative and although he got knocked around quite a bit - he held his own physically.

A few loose through balls, a couple excellent through balls, nice evasive skills and good short passing.

Putting Anderson in this side is like putting salt in your bowl of cereal.

I am guessing Petrucci has been subbed out ... I can't see him on the field.

Pretty much. We could have used Kagawa in that position or Tunnicliffe and had a proper LW.

Yeah Jeff... Petrucci got subbed off along with Powell and Lindegaard.

Don't be disheartened. This is preseason. Few players can play 90 minutes in midfield when they aren't in shape. He'll get some more time in the next match I suppose.
