It gets hot in europe but come on... I don't' get how these american football players down in texas, arizona and crap go through two-a day camp in 110 degree heat..(like 42C or some shit for EURO ppl)
American football and "futbol" players are some of the fittest athletes in the world. It doesn't mean they are techincally skilled at all. But they are fit.
Bartio got another red card already , i know he is biased and has strong views but some of his post were quite funny
West Ham now has 3 right sided midfielders injured... Faubert, Ljungberg and Dyer. Ljungberg should be back soon but he'll be out again just as fast.
Since january westham have had horrible luck with injuries, especialy their signing like neil, upson, faubert, dyer, ashton, ljungberg
Wow Bridge monkey just came up with a good theory, Belleti is a very good freind of ronaldinho, maybe chelsea bought him for a freind for ronaldinho, thats why they were not that bothered about alves so would not pay over the odds, kenyon was already aware of the ronaldinho situation
Doesn't seem like the type of player Athletico need. They aren't going to build around him - they also looked really good in preseason as is, why bother tinkering with it now. Riquelme is a helluva player, but needs alot more than just getting to linkup with Forlan again.
although long it is a good read concerning sudden death in footballers and Antonio Puerta. http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=397733
They got Luis Garcia + €29mn-ish for Torres, with Simao & Reyes costing €32mn combined. While they got an estimate €7mn for Petrov, Forlan cost €21mn which would bring their total spendings to €24mn. It is a fair deal of cash, but depending on how much Riquelme cost it might be good business. Then again, a lot of that depends on how the signings perform for them - a silly comment it might seem, but all of those guys have been spectacular at one setting and average-to-poor in others (barring Garcia, who is little more than a 'moments' man).
Athletico certainly has the tallent to do major damage in La Liga, I think this leauge will have just as competitive of a season as last year. My guess is Barca, Athletico, Sevilla, and then Madrid.
Celtic and Spartak (2-2 agg) going to pens. One missed pen for each side during the match, Vennegoor of Hesselink missing just before the end of extra time.
An article spoke of Roy Kean's new signings and how he signed former team members, sad to even have Richardson listed with the rest... Manchester United alumni Dwight Yorke, Andy Cole, Liam Miller and Kieran Richardson have been united on Wearside
