I chose Birmingham to go down at season's start, but honestly they look a more convincing side than Sunderland. Keano will have to kick it up a notch.

Talk about unlucky. He leaves the club with the worst injury jinx ever, and this happens. Feel bad for the guy, he was really clinically depressed over his last rehab/comeback. Now he's got to do it again - or just call time on his career.

Oh no, you didn't do anything wrong. I just wasn't able to check the result prior to coming here and I was desperately hoping Dinamo would lose.

This is a results thread mate, no tag necessary.

This is insanity. How can such young players keep having these heart problems? Wtf is going on? RIP Puerta......God damn.....It can happen to anyone, without any warning at all. One minute you're here, the next you're gone.

    Damn.

Maybe a dumb question, but is the weather a lot hotter in Europe right now than it normally is? Could that have anything to do with it?

This is really crazy - to have 2 players die and more collapsing like this is just unsafe.

If it is true that he collapsed twice prior to that (he is just 22 too), they really need to change the system they use to evaluate the health of players. How many warning signs there needs to be to figure out something is not right?

Also, Sunderland lose 3-0 to Luton Town in the CC. Don't know if that will spur on Keano for the weekend, or if it means that they are ripe for the taking. Either way - he's got to right that ship somehow.

I think he's collapsed before yeah. You'd think that would be warning enough, but he's talented, young and probably was determined to carry on doing what he loved. Third time unlucky for him unfortunately. I just dont understand what causes a player's heart to give out. He's conditioned to be a footballer, just...what? It's baffling.

What in the world is going on?

This is surely the most saddening start to the season. An 11 y/o and 22 y/o are dead. Ole retires, now Dyer who has never really been lucky with injuries, breaks both his bones?

    This is a sign.

West Ham also bought Dyer to cover for Julien Faubert who is also out six months. Extremely unlucky, Magnusson must be extremely pissed to see that 12 million pound investment go to waste.

I just saw the clip. Looked very bad. Looks like it snapped about midway between the knee and ankle. It was a bit freakish in that it was not a hard tackle. The players were tumbling and his boot stuck toe down into the pitch as the rovers player caught the side of his leg as he tumbled over him. I'm not a Dyer fan, but you have to feel for the guy.

Really weird. Kind of eerie. Let's just hope this is the end of it.

yea i figured so but i just wanted to be sure. and well for SM you got what you wanted i suppose even if they took the lead eventually Lazio were just too much for them with the comeback

Rangers creep through as well. The Celtic supporters club outside my house were all there and i thought when i went out that all the cars were for their game but i realized that was tomorrow then i peep in and they are all cheering for Crvena Zvezda lol
