Lol AgentKylian just stole messi's Hartwick. He then skies it.

Love how much derision this will cause them.

What the f are you talking about? Benzema was with his back against the goal and it was going to Asensio's left foot.

Wow that was a cathartic win. Feels good to get this annoying Shakhtar bogeyman off our backs and go back to scoring goals.

Worldclass second half from the whole team, especially Vini and Benzema. If I remember correctly, Benzema was involved in all 5 goals. Also - that 2nd goal from Vini. DAMN.

Only 3 players have 100 goal contributions in the history of the Champions League: Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi... and Karim Benzema :inlove:

I loved seeing Casemiro playing so well. I thought a lot of the issues we've had this season had largely been rooted in him being less rock-like than normal. It was good to see him stepping up today.

Glad Benz got his goal. Felt like having Ronaldo in there feeding him passes just to stop him moping around after the game.

Glad to have Casemiro back. Also we defended alot more compact this game which stopped Shaktar getting through the middle. Lucas remains our weakest link. Hope to have Dani back soon

They are a good duo but they can't defend for the team all by themselves which is a position they have been put in a little too often with our team not defending properly from the front and in the middle of the park, as with all defenders they need the team to help so that they aren't left one on five so often

For sure, the entire team deserves credit for how solid we were defensively but it's always good to see your CBs put no foot wrong during 90 minutes.

What a difference the world's best midfielder makes? Kroos with a spectacular display, dictating the pace of the game. Sorely missed. Also, that Mendy guy ain't half bad.

Vini just gets better and better, and there's really not much more to say about Benz that hasn't been said.

Back to the first page... Seems like MF still has the legs. Great game!
I'd still like to see this midfield working against Inter or some other half-serious and intensive team.

Camavinga made one great crunching tackle towards the end to stop a Shakhtar counter. Glad to see him getting the minutes he deserves. I'm guessing if there's no injuries Carlo will largely repeat the lineup for El Clasico.

The questions will be Vazquez or Nacho at RB?
Kroos-Case-Modric in midfield, or drop one of them for Valverde?

Much better without Nacho. This is my preferred CB pairing.

Shaktar did the same thing every other team did, sat back and absorbed and tried to hit out in the counter. Luckily there were no boneheaded mistakes in the back.

Even Carlo would rather play Jesus Vallejo than Nacho because he's sick of the latter being trash.

A solid midfield is the key, not so porous, Case back to his best is a great boost

Hate seeing players who have given everything to this team, who still have a lot to give and who love this team to a fault be called trash by their own fans. Doesn’t really sit well.

You're right. We should reserve that word for Eden Hazard. Nacho is from now on "an excellent substitute".
