First of all...thank you to everyone who came out to Kezar Pub on Sunday. Both Alexi and I were pleased to have meet everyone! There were a couple of questions that came up Saturday afternoon and on the message boards that I wanted to answer.

While Kezar will not be an "official" viewing location for away games, the bar has assured me that they will be ready for SJ Earthquakes fans on away game days. I'll be following up myself each week to make sure they are ready and know our game times. In short, they are pleased to have us! I will be there for most away games, but unfortunately will miss this weekend's game vs. the Rapids. Have a great viewing party!

Bus from San Francisco: Kezar Pub IS arranging for a bus from San Francisco to our May 1 game against DC United. The total cost is $30 and includes a ticket in the East Sideline section, transportation, snacks and drinks on the bus. If you or any of your friends are interested, please contact Kezar Pub or The Mad Dog in the Fog directly. Their phone numbers are 415.386.9292 and 415.626.7279, respectively.

Thanks Anne, what if I already have Ticx? Can we arrange through them for just the bus portion?

Give the bar a call and check with them. If it is not an option and if there is enough interest we can work to arrange something for future games.

Just the fact that this is happening is a positive step. Don't know if there have been such arrangements bringing distant fans in the past, but there need to be more and more collaborations with other businesses. Maybe they could put some San Jose Earthquakes advertising banners on the bus, and increase curiosity of other fans in San Francisco. Hopefully this bus is completely full and continues bringing in fans for the rest of the season.

Thank you for posting this information, Anne!

I was thinking about driving to the game on May 1st (usually I go really early to catch the most of Club Quake pregame tailgate), but now I sm considering taking the bus just for the sake of supporting this great idea.

But I am a season ticket holder, so I'd like to pay only bus portion of the price, too.

Kezar rocks! (and all bartenders there know me very well :) )

SJ banners on the bus-good idea. A good game day give away would be car banners that can stay on windows like flags. I would fly mine 120 miles each way on game days

I'm not a season ticket holder, but try to get to as many home games as possible and my section of choice is 112. It would be a lot of fun to take the bus down sometimes too if there's a price that doesn't include the ticket.

    Hey this is GREAT!!
I cannot make the Kezar this weekend, but plan to make it as often as possible in the future.
Also, I have tix to May 1, but may consider the bus option if feasible!

Ann, it was great to meet you in person, and Alexi too.

Say, where's that .pdf schedule so I can email it to my private email list?

    :)

Is that bus going to be a regular thing or just for May 1? That would solve a few problems for me.

Any update on the bus details? I already have a ticket but would be interested in the bus option if the price was $20 or less.

Ticket and Bus from San Francisco to San Jose

    Hey all -

Bus option is still out there, but the Kezar Pub is not seeing the sign-ups it expected. If you are still on the fence about going...it is time to get off and give them a call and get yourself set up with a spot on the bus. If you are interested in taking the bus, but already have a ticket give the Kezar a call (415.386.9292). No guarantees about what the Kezar can arrange, but there might be some options for you.

    Cheers.

I have been trying to call them this morning and no answer yet. I am in the same boat as many people in that there are 3 of us that have tickets but just want to get a ride to the game. There is the possibility that I would get another 2 $30.00 ticket/ride combos to go with the 3 of us that already have tickets, but havn't heard from my friends yet.

When I get a hold of them and find out about the possibility of just getting a ride I'll let everyone know what they said.

OK, I finally talked with Kezar Pub and they said that as of now they are just selling the combo tickets/ride for the $30 Anne is talking about.

They might change it later and said to call back Friday and check then about just getting a seat and not a ticket. He said that unfortunatly they can't sell seat w/o tickets until Friday because then if people buy tickets from them they woulnd't be able to fit them on the bus due to the seats being already taken.

I wish I know about this earlier I woulnd't have already got my 2 extra tickets from the Quakes. Anyway stop reading this and start calling people to get them to go support the Quakes!
