I've heard he may be playing for Sioux Falls this year. Something about his clothes line or fighting team in Sioux Falls and an opportunity for him there. Didn't Sioux Falls steal that guy from Crieghton the Menace had signed? Tranchilla? We'll have to see.
Modersohn didn't play for the Menace in '03, so I doubt he would play in '04. His "exodus" or the Menace's must have started a year earlier, in this case.
I realize he didn't play in 03 for us, but he was on the roster for the early part of the season and at many of the games. He was always a nice guy as he came and spoke at my high school a few times about athletics and peer pressure and always seemed like a good spokesperson for the Menace. I got to meet him a couple of times following matches and he was always generous with autographs and such. I know he doesn't count as part of this recent 'exodus' per se, but it is a shame we don't get to see more of this true 'hometown hero'- remember when that was the theme of the USL?
Seth is currently living in Los Angeles working on his clothing line, Tofudi. He moved out there in February. I talk to him from time to time and the main reason he is there is because of his interest in fashion. He retired from soccer due to an ankle injury that never healed properly. He sponsors a fighting team at the old Toad Holler, he is a very unique person and brought a lot to the menace and people living here. He does come back from time to time, usually once a month or every 2 months. As for his brother, Mark, saw him the other day around town. He had a short stint with the menace back when Calloway was coaching and he didnt perform at his top ability. he is a very good goalkeeper out of SMS but he didnt impress Calloway so he got the axe. that is all i know for now.
