I could only put up with this for less than a year. It would kill me to see the game butchered in the way that it was. Had the league kept it real in terms of rules and so on then right now we would probably be sitting on the top league in the world. But some brainiac thought that Americanizing the game was the thing to do. Soccer wasnt broke, so there was NO NEED TO FIX IT. We fixed it so well that we almost BROKE IT!
you guys are entitled to your opinions, and if you need a scapegoat to blame everything on then by all means use whomever you wish. your bias towards nick may be justified, but when philly fans are "urged" to share in your hostility towards him it's unfair for us. let us develop our own opinion of him based upon our experience with him as CEO of the team. afterall, a 2-time MLS executive of the year can't be doing everything wrong. are we on cloud nine? you're damn right we are ... things we've been hoping for since the inception of the league are finally happening. is it fair to piss in our cheerios when good news comes our way? definitely not. and god forbid we have to go through anything similar as you, since the we-told-you-so's would be relentless and irritating.
