Is anybody else sick of seeing those damn adidas commercials with the players riding the mopeds and kicking the ball!!!!!!! They show it all the time back to back and they suck after the first time or so!!!!!!
yeah i used to like that commercial now i think it sucks. sick of seeing the long version sick of the short version just sick of all of it. there is a carlsberg commercial too, sick of it. like watching the games though.
As a scooter rider in the 60's I love that advert, but what drives me nuts about the Euro 2004 coverage is damned music they play when they can't be bothered to give us commentary in the period before the games. For $20 it would not be too much to expect them to transmit the entire coverage, rather than just the game itself. For the England games they could give us the prematch coverage from the British TV station they are using. As it was, for the France game, we even got the microphone checks transmitted. That is pretty unprofessional in my view.
I find the same problem with FSW. I swear if I see another ad for Fox Laugh Out Loud Sunday I'm going to drive a spear through my head! "Sir other customers need to use that dressing room" "Dressing room, uh oh." [Insert Spear Thrusting Here]
Me too. The first time I saw it I thought it was hilarious, then I watched the Simpsons that sunday and figured out that the whole dressing room thing was just an ad not a preview. They show it all the time and it is getting annoying, like the Budweiser frogs of the mid 90's.
PEACE That Adidas commercial is awful! How much did they have to pay Del Piero to make a fool of himself like that...riding around waving like a little nerd. Damn man have some self-respect. And who conceived the idea to have Oliver Kahn in it, looking like a helmet wearing Yeti cruising down the portuguese countryside on a little scooter. Lord have mercy! Nike ain't much better, with their fake, perpetratin' posture of trying to be the cutting edge "soccer" company...please! PEACE
\ Great post. So true.. I hate the Simpsons to boot, so it is even more annoying to me... That and the Bowflex commerical with the 2 guys with -10% bodyfat... "just a 1/2 hour a day and you can get these results..." uum yeah, with top 5% of the population genetics, steroids, perfect diet..
yup the fox lol sunday and the adidas commercials would be good if they weren't seen again want to see the henry commercial again tho, that's pretty cool
Scolari tries to tackle it away from Beckham. Raul, Morientes?, Del Piero, Zidane, Trezeguet, Makaay, Ashley Cole, Ballack, Kahn, and Vieria are also in it.
On that note, for some reason I don't get annoyed by the Guinness ads. No matter how many times they show those, it don't get irritated like other ads.(like "I,MAX", "LOL Sunday", or "Bow Flex") "Fox Laugh Out Loud Sunday is coming!" - The tv season is over for Christ sake, why do they keep showing that!!!!! Its ****ing summer!!! I see that damn thing 20 times a day!!!!
Actually FOX is putting new shows out during the summer to beat the other networks in ratings for the summer season. Shows like Simple Life 2, North Shore, and the show where Methodman and Redman move into a white neighborhood, make fun of the white people, try to make them hip, and then make the white people talk "black" show (idk its real name).
WAIT. Are you meaning to say your only commercials aren't the Adidas, Carlsberg, and World Soccer Tour ones?
For what we're paying for this there shouldn't be any commercials. I'm so tired of see those commercials before the game, at halftime and after. I've cut them out of most of the DVD recordings I've made. The Henry / Nike commercial is only on the FSW showings of the games. They need to stay with the coverage and catch the whole halftime show. I'm glad to see all the games, but I hope FSW gets it in 4 years. Setanta/Indemand really sucks and esprcially the early game not showing the pre-game.
Maybe the BBC/ Sentanta, whoever, should watch a morning of NFL pre-game shows/production. I find almost everything annoying from the production value point of view. I like Linneaker, but that set looks--I dunno--cheap?! And the commentator panel seems like they are always pausing, not wanting to interrupt each other, and they all seem to want to agree with each other instead of like Bradshaw and Long, arguing, taking opposite views, and making those views entertaining. These guys all look like they are afraid of the camera, afraid of offending each other or something. I think the Adidas comemrical is very derivative, a rip-off of a Nike advert in style and feel, and even music. But it wouldn't be nearly as bad if they had other commercials. What, Euro04 coverage could only land 2 sponsors?! I get the feeling there is some CORRUPTION stuff going on with ads shown/sponsors--otherwise, you'd have it like the Superbowl, where companies would fight to put on a 30-second spot for X million Euros. Is BBC what happens when TV is government-run? Then I vote to keep healthcare private here in the US please.
Because everyone knows a sports TV programme from a mobile studio in Portugal has a huge bearing on the US (lack of) healthcare system.
