1:1 draw against Serrieres-Neuchâtel Chedly scored for Servette on penalty at the end of the first half, Serrieres equalized a few minutes before the end of the match
1. Etoile Carouge 20/44 2. Servette 21/44 3. UGS 21/41 4. Malley 20/36 5. Stade Nyonnais 20/31 it looks like three teams from Geneva might go to the playoff's in group 2, Biel and Kickers Lucerne should go to the playoff's in group 3, it would currently be Tuggen, Red Star and Herisau so this would make Etoile Carouge 20/44 Servette 21/44 UGS 21/41 ----------------------- Biel 20/47 Kickers Lucerne 18/35 ----------------------- Tuggen 18/41 Red Star 18/34 Herisau 19/33
I think that UGS, Etoile, and Servette will contine to distance themselves from the rest of Group 1. It is nice to see Stade Nyonniase have a good season. They hung onto 1st League play by a slim margin for the past few seasons.
Barea apparently agreed about a transfer with Xamax and should be able to play for Servette soon Pizzinat is waiting for the liberation of the italian federation we might see both in action for Servette next week
Servette won 6-1 against Signal Bernex goals scored by Kusunga, Chedly, Esteban, Tréand, Pont and Chedly
2-0 against Bulle goals scored by Chedly and Tréand can't wait for the playoffs now - hope to see Servette in the Challengue League next season
Servette in the CL. I think that they could make it back to the SL in three years. I would love two, but three is more reasonable.
Dissipointing result. The UGS derby should be fun! I never thought I would say that regarding Servette!
and it's going to be important match. The top two teams of the leagues, are going to face the two best third placed teams currently this would be Tuggen - Carouge Biel - Herisau the third group winner would face the worst second place from the other groups, i.e. Servette - FC Kickers Luzern the fourth match would be UGS - Red Star in the finals, there won't be any seeding
Sion is going to play their EC matches in Geneva next season and maybe also the SL matches. besides, Urania would also like to play in the stade de Genève if moving up to the Challenge League and, there are still rumours that the french team from Croix-de-Savoie is going to join the Swiss league and they also intend playing in the stade de Genève. and Neuchâtel already played their Intertoto matches in Geneva
If all this happens, the loser is Servette. The winner is the soccer fans in Geneve. It would be very interesting to see if Croix-de-Savoie could play in the Swiss Leagues. I assume this would require FIFA approval as well as Swiss and French Associations approval. I would love to see Servette and UGS both move up. If Croix-de-Savoie were to move to the Swiss League, would they play in the 1st League?
Well Servette wouldn't loose on any money on it. Moving Sion's games all the way to Geneva sounds idiotic, that's something like a 2 hour trip
Normally I would agree. But Sion's fans would travel for the UEFA Cup matches. I doubt they will have great attendence for SL matches though.
Yeah, UEFA cup games in Geneva is a good idea. But SL games? These guys are fanatics, but you can't except them to be on the road 4 hours plus, every single week
quite a lot of people from the Valais work in Geneva - perhaps it might be an idea then to have the games on Friday night then but Constatin should have been able to find anything closer (Lausanne for example) or he should have done a bigger effort in finding a solutions with the city council of Sion
Servette FC playing against UGS this afternoon. The fight for the first place in the group: Servette might play with .....................Boully .................... Kusunga....Girod.....Barea.......Bratic Tréand...Londono...Pizzinat...Esteban .........Besseyre....Chedly
Test Match: Servette - Germany 1:2 (1:1) Ballack, Esteban, Asamoah Doesn't mean much...but a respectable scoreline...
