    Question about Italian football

It seems that everytime I read or hear something about Italian football these days it involves talk about how Italian soceer is in big financial trouble. Are things really that bad? I ask this because it seems that every young star worldwide is being sought after by Italian teams.

Lazio Owners Cirio In Financial Trouble

The current financial pressure being experienced by Cirio, the company that owns a 51% stake in Lazio, may force the club to sell off yet more of its stars.

The shares of the tinned food maker have been suspended for a third day, after they again failed to meet the deadline for paying holders of 150,000 million euros of bonds.

If the company's troubles persist, the club may have to sell off yet more stars, with Stafano Fiore and Dejan Stankovic two of the big names likely to be first out of the door.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that Lazio could face legal action over the unpaid transfer fees of Gaizka Mendieta and Jaap Stam to Valencia and Manchester United respectively.

ok ok NOT THAT SERIOUSLY BAD ECONOMIES!
