Pretty good, I must say. I'm still reveling in some of the summer purchases, especially Simic.

Juve's new right wing, his name starts with a C, well he was outstanding on sunday, and scored in CL.

Did he go out on loan or did Juve sell him to Piacenza?

I'm pretty sure it's a loan deal, but only because I doubt Juve would sell a young player with such promise. But I'm not 100% on that.

They should have kept him because they really don't have any creative central midfielders besides Davids. And it's a long season with three competitions to deal with. It's always better to have have too many options than too little.

Yeah, but I think Camoranesi is better than Maresca.

... Davids, a creator?? Everybody said Juve was in really bad shape before last season when they lost the key creative influence of Zidane in their midfield. Yet somehow they managed to win the Scudetto.

I think Camoranesi plays on the wings while Maresca plays more centrally. I just think it would be good to have a big squad for Juve to challenge on all fronts. Nedved and Camoranesi are Juve's creators from the wings but Davids is the only player Juve has that can create something from the center. Unless you think Tacchinardi or Baiocco can do this, which I do not.

Week 5 Team of the Week (from RAI), with player ratings out of 10.

    Fontana (Inter) - 8.00
    Nesta (Milan) - 7.19
    Maldini (Milan) - 7.25
    Kaladze (Milan) - 6.81
    Cesar (Lazio) - 7.00
    Seedorf (Milan) - 7.44
    Tedesco (Perugia) - 7.38
    Maresca (Piacenza) - 7.06
    Pirlo (Milan) - 7.56
    Totti (Roma) - 8.06
    Inzaghi (Milan) - 8.56

    Player of the Week: Inzaghi

RAI picks their 11 by specific position - eg Left Back, not just defender. Other highly-rated players that didn't make the top formation:

    Mutu (Parma) - 7.31
    Franceschini (Chievo) - 7.19
    Serginho (Milan) - 7.00
    Batistuta (Roma) - 6.94
    Pecchia (Como) - 6.94

BTW, Must've been extremely sweet for ex-Juve Fabio Pecchia to score against the team that rejected him.
