Serie A's two hottest teams - and players - continued where they picked up last week.

    Empoli 0 Juventus 2
two more goals for Del Piero - one on a PK - and had another disallowed.
    Milan 3 Perugia 0
... rare goal from Maldini on a wierd looping header from a corner by Pirlo, an Inzaghi classic - cleaning up the mess made by the Perugia defense, and a nice solo effort by Seedorf. Serginho missed a late PK which would've made it 4-0.

Great to see Alex and Pippo in such good form at the moment. It'll be interesting to see Trap's lineup choices next month, assuming no injuries in the meantime.

Speaking purely unbiasedly, Milan look like favorites for the scudetto. The defence is more solid than ever, and their possession is classy.

Del Piero continues on his ridiculous form. Another great goal this week. Tudor played today which is great news for them. They better win at midweek versus Dynamo, for Italian soccer fans sake.

Now Vieri has scored a great goal. Crespo started on the bench for Inter. Amazing to see three Italian strikers in such good form at the same time.

Truly incredible finish to the Reggina-Inter game. Reggina tied it on a PK in the 90th minute but Crespo set up Recoba for the game-winner on practically the last kick of the game, and we stilll have a 3-way tie for first. 4-way actually - don't forget Piacenza :)

    All the scores:

    Reggina 1 Inter 2
    Atalanta 2 Bologna 2
    Parma 2 Como 0
    Chievo 1 Brescia 2
    Piacenza 2 Udinese 0
    Torino 0 Lazio 1

Fixed my booboo on the Chievo-Brescia score!

Reggina deserved a point at least. They got screwed on so many calls. I really like Nakamura, he is very skillful and has a lot of vision. Whats up with Cannavaro? He isn't playing so great with getting sent off in the midweek and conceeding a penalty today.

Cannavaro hasn't had much of a break between a tough campaign for Parma last year - winning the Coppa, fighting against relegation, the WC, and then early training camp for Inter to prepare for CL qualifiers. He's still great, but I'm wondering if he's beginning to lose half a step.

Like when Reggina had a 3 on 1 break and the ref stopped play because Cannavaro went down injured. From that point on I knew Reggina was getting the shaft. Inter will get thiers eventually. I'm not impressed with them. They couldn't control midfield against a mediocre team like Reggina says they will have problems against the better teams. Reggina really outplayed Inter for huge portions of the game and also had a free kick hit the bar.

Mark this down. Inter will lose to Ajax on Wednesday at the San Siro.
