anybody hearing the transfer news? Macara is seriously running everything this year like no other...Pedro Larrea, Israel Chango, Victor Estupinan, Ivan Kaviedes, Wilson Folleco, Ismael Villalba, and now Daniel Mina (Deportivo Quito's best juvenile player...he's a pretty good defensive mid for those who don't know). That's good handful of experience mixed with great youngsters...it will be really interesting to see how they perform in el campeonato. I have a feeling they'll make Copa Libertadores or Sudamericana between now and next year....no joke.

Quito, no podemos utilizar ningun escenario.

I THINK THIS IS BULLSH-IET ... bunch of acomplejados ...AFNA knows that la hinchada amarilla will fill their stadiums and that Quito is Barcelonista. They don't want a noche o tarde amarilla in Quito because they know the outcome. All the fans deserve to see their team play and for the AFNA to act like puss_ies is just sad.

Why doesn't Barcelona play a game in another provincia of the Sierra instead of trying to play in Pichincha. I am pretty sure that outside Pichincha, they could find a decent stadium to play a game vs whatever team.

The thing is that Barcelona wants to give all the fans in Quito a noche or tarde amarilla. It's for the fans, I'm sure the team has thousands of fans elsewhere, but the Quito fans deserve it, because tehy are just as loyal as the guayaquil fans. They should not travel miles to see the team, when the team already trains there anyway.

I don't see why AFNA is acting like a little baby. And if Barcelona doesn't want to play against an AFNA team, then its the choice of the dirigencia. I couldn't care what team it is personally. but let them play. I believe they have right to play, first thing going for that statement is that they Quito is Barcelonista and decisions like that will anger thousands of people in the city that want to see their team play.

El Nacional beat Alianza Lima 4-3 in Peru...

I saw some of this game and all I gotta say is I'm loving how Cristian Suarez is developing now. I seriously thought this kid wasn't going anywhere. Good game by Michael Jackson Quinonez. Edison Preciado is doing his job with Suarez up front. These two (Suarez and Preciado) have MAD potential to be all over the scoring charts this season...I'm keeping a close eye on them. And with MJ Quinonez, Nacional has a good attacking half of the field. The defense is questionable though. For the good of ecuafutbol and maybe even the NT, I hope one of these two (if not both) guys end up at the top of the scoring charts this season, atleast top 3.

Since the beginning, like I always said, I have respect for El Nacional.. probably the only team in Serie A I have respect for. Good for El Nacional. They are all Ecuadorian and they do the damn thing!

Looks like this season, it's going to be all spectacle and pure futbol. ALL teams are looking dangerous and well reinforced.

That's the Tarde Criollo game vs Universidad Catolica. I didn't get to see it, but just heard Universidad Catolica put El Nacional to shame in the first half...as you can see Rixon Corozo, El Nacho's keeper, SUCKS balls...and so does their defense. But on a positive note for them, and for the benefit of ecua futbol....Edison Preciado seems to be on fire right now. Along with Suarez, he's just netting goals every game. The last one he scores is a beauty...Deportivo Cuenca must be angered at the fact that they let him go so easily. What idiots!
I have a feeling him and Cristian Suarez are gonna be at the top of the scoring charts this year.

Rorys Aragon is returning to El Nacional supposively...another big signing for our league. Impressive! Although I think he'll just be in our league for a year and probably return to Europe. Hopefully this gets him closer to the NT.

Yea, and I just saw that Marlon de Jesus has returned to El Nacional after spending a year at River Plate (Arg) and 2 months at Gremio. He's a young(18), big forward, so looking forward to seeing if he could be another option for a good post player Ecuador needs badly.

Last year when I saw De Jesus playing in the U-20 squad in the Sudamericana he was lost. It was like watching the younger version of Felipe Caicedo playing for the NT team....he didn't do squat. But I must say training with teams such as River and Gremio helps out a lot. He was actually back to El Nacional last season...around like July or August...i can't exactaly remember when. Don't remember him playing any games either. Let's hope he does well b/c this season is when everyones keeping their eyes out looking for a potential striker...De Jesus is gonna have to work hard though. going against Preciado and Suarez is not gonna be an easy job at all. Good luck to him though, I'm definitely gonna be watching lots of Nacional and Emelec games b/c theres lots of potential in the young forwards both teams have.

Oh, good info. Yea, don't know much about him. But without a doubt Ecuador needs a new post-style forward to score off of set pieces and hold up the ball. Let's just hope that with all of this young talent out there the proper coach (if any....) will spot the talent and see some product in a friendly. This year is crucial for finding future defenders and consistent, young strikers.
