min 93- End of the game. Independiente 1- Barcelona 0. Duró played his card right and made his team win vs Barcelona. If Emelec wins vs Espoli, Emelec will clinch the first position of the First Round of the tournament.

Independiente campeon! lol i'm lovin those guys right now

and as for Emelec, congrats. Jaime Ayovi is just sick. 10 goals in the campeonato. I never would have thought that Emelec would adapt to Sampaoli's style of playing but now that they did, it's gonna be hard for most teams to defeat Emelec.

Even though we didn't get 1st place, this was a great tournament that lived up to it's hype IMO. What I like more about this tournament than any other is that the extranjeros didn't overshine our ecua's and there's even more talent I see in each team. The youth systems are working hard. Good for the campeonato. El Nacional, ESPOLI, and Independiente have a good number of players that we'll be seeing in the NT.

Interesting statistic that somebody had mentioned about LDU Q that they have the best goal difference of the tournament of +22. As for Emelec at this moment has an intesting statistic of scoring the most goals in the tournament of 33. Emelec's goal difference of + 12. Is not bad. I guess LDU Q been scoring too many goals in one particular game but scoring a few or none in key games. That is what seems to be wrong with that statistic.

One more statistic that I forgot to mention is that the team that has the most wins in the tournament with 13 is Emelec. I just had to throw that out.

The minute by minute detail of the game between Barcelona vs Independiente has been erased from this thread. Amazing, this has turned worst than a police state that existed in totalitarian governments. I could not believe it. It must have been some damaging or sensitive information that I typed that caused this to happen. Supposedly, one member complained about the content and it was a problem. "I will be careful on what I write".

I am in favor of one team and that is obvious which one. I am not against any team. As for Barcelona, they have done great this year compared to last year. Going to live in "La Sierra" was a good move for them because it uplifted the level of game that brought results. LDU Q is going through a transitional period. They are losing key players. Some were injured for some time. Their level diminished a little on key games that cost them, bigtime. The rest of the teams are at about the same level, "mediocre or bad". That is self explanatory. There are two games left for the top teams. These games will be played on Sunday: Independiente vs LDU Q; Macará vs Barcelona; Emelec vs Espoli. Next Sunday, 07-04-10, Barcelona vs U. Católica; LDU Q vs Macará; D. Quito vs Emelec.

This is how the top teams will end up: 1- Emelec; 2- LDU Q; 3- Barcelona; 4- D. Quito. The rest in whatever order.

Emelec's the winner of the primera etapa. Jaime Ayovi scored his 11th goal today, that kids unstoppable right now i haven't seen someone score that consistently in the whole campeonato in a long time, probably since Bieler. He's on the right track it's exactly what our futbol needs.

Liga's getting that 2nd spot, we're crushing macara next week.

Big win by Emelec. 4-0 vs Espoli. The crowd was crazy. It was a "Carnaval" at Estadio Capwell. It was a beautiful display of Blue at the stadium. Emelec in first place. How about that!!!

now that the First Half of the Copa Credife is over I just wanted to make a list of players from the league that stood out to me. in general, I'm just going to point the younger guys out:

    Liga De Quito:
    Marlon Ganchoso
Miller Bolanos (in the last few games)
    Alexander Dominguez

    ESPOLI:
    Dario Bone
    Kener Arce
    Marvin Cortez
    Carlos Quichupangui
    Adrian Bone

    Independiente:
    Eder Vaca
    Fernando Guerrero
    Mario Pineida

    D.Quito:
    Michael Arroyo
    Juan Paredes

    El Nacional:
    Marlon De Jesus
    Marvin Pita
    Michael Jackson Quinonez
    Rorys Aragon

(Edison Preciado and Cristian Suarez still owe better performances)

    Emelec:
    Pedro Quinonez
    Marcos Caicedo
    Joao Rojas
    Jaime Ayovi
    Fernando Gaibor

    Barcelona:
    Jefferson Hurtado
    Geovanny Nazareno
    Dennis Quinonez
    Maximo Banguera

Macara: (didn't like the juveniles they had but only one player stood out IMO)
    Wilson Folleco

    Deportivo Cuenca:
    John Narvaez
    Holger Matamoros
    Jose Valdivieso

Almost nobody from Olmedo, Manta, and U.Catolica caught my attention and if they did it was probably just for one game.

    4. Olmedo vs. Manta (30 de junio): 82 asistentes
    5. El Nacional vs. Espoli (23 de junio): 217 aficionados.
    6. Espoli vs. Universidad Católica (8 de abril): 233 espectadores.
    7. Manta y Espoli (16 de junio): 270.

What do you guys think of Emelec's new signing, Menendez's comments onhis facebook account? he said it was his friend that typed it, but still, does that excuse him by keeping his message on his page for the world to see?

Emelec fans dont buy that his "friend" hacked his account and wrote that bs as he claims.

Joao Rojas wrote on his facebook that Menendez was at practice when this stuff was written so it's all false. Who knows? all i know is that he got boo-ed when he came in for Ayovi this weekend and he's not even a challenge for Ayovi up front. Not a challenge for Marcos Caiced, Joao Rojas, Santiago Biglieri or anyone. Leandro Torres played really well in the few minutes i saw him against Manta.
