That was a big win, no doubt. That will go a long way in this qualifying campaign.

I am worried for some reason about Lithuania. I can see them screwing us out 2, possibly 3 points when the Plavi go over there.

I can only check the score on the tracker. Did you actually watch the game today? If so, can you describe it. Who played well, and so forth...

come on , we will demolish them

i couldnt watch whole match but Baseggio and Wesley Sonck went close for the Belgians and in the second half substitute striker Luigi Pieroni hit the crossbar twice, first with a right-foot shot and in the final minute with a header

We have 10 points from four games and have scored 10 goals without reply so far.

I'm not doubting that we are better than Lithuania, but SCG has a knack for dropping points against mediocre teams. Look at last WC qualifying, we should have beaten Slovenia at home, that cost us qualifying for 2nd place (not that Slovenia is necessarily mediocre, but you have to beat them home). Getting smoked by Finland? I mean, come on. And then, of course, there's the Azerbaijan fiasco...

Lithuania has already taken points from Belgium and Spain, so I am just a little concerned we will have our hands full. I don't think that will be an easy game. I could also see BH causing some problems for us when we face them at home.

Not trying to be too negative, I think we are in GREAT shape for qualifying. 4 of the last 6 games are at home. If we win out and split with Spain, then we top the group. I think this team, barring a melt down, is going to Germany either as group-winner or as one of two automatic 2nd place teams.

p.s. you're an Iran fan too? Iran and Serbia, interesting combo. :D

Wasn't quite sure where to post this but...

    Kezman's goal: http://www.abu-jassim.com/england/week16/ch4.zip

A nice clip of Mateja Kezman's first EPL goal! :D

A penalty taken yesterday in the CHelsea/Newcastle United match. According to Chelsea supporters in the Chelsea FC forum, the crowd was yelling for Mateja to take it when the penalty was awarded. The celebration afterwards was also great! Enjoy. :)

The 1st place team from each group qualifies directly. The 2 best second place teams also qualify directly. The other 6 2nd place teams are are paired up and will play-off for 3 more spots.
