guys i wana know what ur opinion is on the serbia team, i mean having played 10 games and only conceeding one goal must say something about the team? also the fact that they finished ahead the likes of spain, bosnia and belgium...i think they will pose a real threat come the world cup! ..what do youz reckon?

I don't think I can expect anything because at the World Cup... anything goes. If we get a favorable draw the final 16 should be fine. If we make it to the final 8 then that would be an accomplishment because we haven't played at the WC since 98. Personally the whole feel of this team is different compared to the others. Our usual style and strong point is our offence while here it is our defence, something that has never occured and being able to tie Spain in Madrid definetely means something even if the Spanish aren't in the best of situations right now. I think we'll get to the final 16, and the quarterfinal would be plesent. Anything past that and I will be going insane. :D By the way watch out for Croatia as well, they have a very strong team.

This is going to be fun to see how the draw goes and how the teams match up. The round of 16 certainly seems doable to me.

Wow, you don't wanna see Germany in flames and ruins, do you? :D

Hope the draw will make both of us as far as possible from each other - for everyone's sake...

I really believe that 2006 is a year for teams like Italy Germany England etc to be torn to shreds by teams like Serbia, Ukraine, and hopefully the USA and Poland. Imagine that semifinal selection.

I swear the guy in front looks like he has his head blown off.
Now what was the reason for the Croats to beat up the poor poor good people of Malta? :D

The eleven idiots who "succeeded" in drawing with Malta. Those chairs should have been directed to their heads. ;)

As for the article, it says that German hooligan groups will unite their forces against Serbs, Croats and Turks during the WC, especially those form Hannover and Hamburg.

Why particularly against those three countries?

You are forgoting polish hooligans.. ;)

Somehow I'm thinkin they'll get to the "spotlight" of this WC first.. They have been waiting this a long time and now, it close to them and it's in Germany (now it will be polish invasion of 3 000 registered hoolligans).

As for Croatia/Serbia, praise the Lord that this match doesn't happen. Just remember U21 match few years ago in Germany, Oberhausen. After the match, we were outnumbered but still bit the hell out of your fans and for reward, get a free overnight staying in german prison :D

We're very proud of you. Let's not forget the Euro qualifier a couple of years ago.... :D I remember seeing all those saddned faces at Maksimir when we beat you out for that spot.

Serbian soccer looks promising in the future. What do you think will happen if and when Crna Gora goes its own way? I personally do not think it will make a big impact on Serbian national soccer.

I don't think it will make an impact... there's 1 or 2 respectable clubs from Crna Gora but other than that it will have no effect. Crna Gora, not to be bashful, if it becomes independent, will be a better version of San Marino in terms of football.

There are more Montenegrians living in Belgrade, Serbia than living in Monte Negro. Secondly, I do not recall any great soccer player ever coming from Monte Negro. In short, I do not see any impact on Serbian National Team. In fact, I do not see much impact (socio-economic) at all.
