    it's a pretty nice stadium...hopefully we can get a Columbus-like crowd at that place

    Good for SLC getting a qualifier, but I was thinking they'd get CR or Honduras, as those are the biggest games after Mexico, and the biggest fan bases.

    Still, good for SLC, though I thought they deserved better.

    Well, that's 3/5 down:

    Mexico = Columbus
    T&T = Nashville
    El Salvador = SLC
    Hondruas = ??
    Costa Rica = ??

    Any bets on the last two? One would have to be RFK or somewhere on the east coast, but DC can't host Honduras, that was a disaster last time.

    El Salvador has a much bigger fanbase in the US than Costa Rica. You wouldn't be able to get a home field atmosphere anywhere in the NE or SW of the country with El Salvador.

    costa rica is a far more affluent society than el salvador, so there aren't as many guest workers here...

    perhaps rfk doesn't get a match..

    why should they always be first in line. if it's not them, it's boston...

    criminy...spread the wealth, bailout the rest of the soccer world in the usa by bypassing DC

    After losing to them at home in 2001 I would hope they don't give the Honduras game to RFK.

    My ideal site for the Honduras game is Seattle. We played them there in a friendly a few years back and it was a pro-US crowd.

    Would they put down grass at Qwest? I guess that's what they did at Rice-Eccles in 2005 against CR.
