http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/soccer/11/08/germany/index.html What a total cry-baby Sepp Maier is. He thinks Kahn should be annoited number one, no matter what. Heaven forbid Kahn should have to compete for number one status. And now Bayern is belly-aching that Kahn having to compete for the number one postion is affecting his performances for Bayern. Yeah, that's right, shift the blame for Kahn's fvck-ups - Bayern are now blaming Kahn's sh!ty performances on Klinsmann. Klinsmann was absolutely right in stripping Kahn of the captaincy, leaving the number one postion open for fair competition, and firing Sepp Maier's worthless SS. Juergen Klinsmann is a stud, and has big kahunas. Maier, Kahn, and Bayern's belly-aching management are cry-baby, wussie-@ss girlie men. Go Klinsi!!!
Well what Rummenigge says does make sense, the media in Germany make it such a big deal when one of the two (Kahn or Lehmann) make a mistake. It is a never-ending competition in the papers like "1-0 Lehmann", frankly it is getting ridiculous. Now I do agree that competition is good but the media are over exagerrating the playing field and putting stress on the two. I believe it is Klinsmann's mistake in stating that one of the two would be number 1 at the World Cup and not giving healthy competition for all German keepers for the spot. Concerning Maier, yes he is a little senile now.
