Seol has been quiet lately. I wonder if their opponents are marking him more closely. Anderlecht's scoring output seems to have been picked up by his teammates. I wish I could see the games live, so I can gauge his presence on the pitch.
What I heard from ppl who did watch Seol's recent games is that he's moved to left wing from forward position, just like in WC. I don't know if that move is just a temporary one but that's probably why he's not scoring goals lately. But he still starts and plays full 90 minutes.
Seol is playing very well in his left wing position. Although he hasn't scored goals recently, Seol - Jestrovic line is working very effectively and most importantly, he has made many assists so far.
I saw an early round UEFA cup game of his on tape recently. He was marked very closely by his Norwegian opponent but was able to leave his marker at will. He would move farther down left and use his left foot to send a cross. Or he would turn right and use his right foot to pass or shoot. His marker simply didn't know which way Seol was goning to turn and they had to put two guys on him later in the game. What was so frustrating was to see his perfectly good, accurate crosses being wasted by his teammates. At least two of those should have been scored. Late in the game his team was still trailing by a goal and Seol got the ball on the left side, turned right and took a good shot at the near post. A teammate of his came all over him and seemed to gesture that Seol should have looked for an open guy to pass. Only if he had a guy or two good enough to complement his skill. De Bilde came on later on as a substitute and Seol stole a ball from a defender and made a lethal pass to him which resulted in a free kick near the penalty line. His team lost 0-1.
The real test will be against Panathinaikos when Seol and Anderlecht face the team I believe are this year's favorites to win the UEFA outright.
