Re: Carnevali Here's a potential bright spot. Elkann fired Comolli (I hate that loser.). He brought in Carnevali as CEO and has instructed him to build an Azzurri core on the team. So Carnevali and Chiellini have a bit of a Made in Italy mandate. The is the first Serie A club I've actually heard of talking in these terms. If this is true, it could be great news. Apparently they want Chiesa and Leoni from Liverpool. Chiesa would be easy. But Liverpool won't let Leoni go unless it's a loan I would think? They also are looking at Ndour and Comuzzo and a few others.

It's a good sign. The clubs need to do this themselves it would be very hard for the league/government to force it. It is logical. When you can't compete financially building identity with domestic players makes sense above it being the right thing to do for Italian football in the long term. Then we have the Fiorentina project and several young managers taking over the reigns. There should be a race to get the best young Italians this mercato.

I think this is gonna go along the lines of what Malagò wants to do making a pact with Serie A and B while incentivizing the use of U23 Italians with betting money and a much larger slice of the TV money. The serie B numbers dipped to 64 and back up to 71 with incentives so it’s gonna have to be big money to get it back into the 40 to 50 range in A.
As a huge roma fan i feel we should be doing this. Why arent we focusing on italian players. If wr dont keep dybala then we should be going for chiesa. Why not try and get leoni on a srason long loan with potential option to buy or invest in favalsuli in defence as well a top under 21 player. Also we should be looking at ndour and vergara as well. All theae signings would be great for us.
