Palladino left Fiorentina because he clashed with Prade. The tension was over Prade buying players that Palladino didn’t want and didn’t ask for. Most people thought Prade was just a retard, but time gives perspective. Prade was a scam artist and was blowing Rocco’s money to make his agent friends rich. At Atalanta, Palladino blew a golden opportunity because the team was seemingly built for him to succeed. He had a very high profile humiliation in the home game vs. Bayern where he had the entire Atalanta 11 try to play Munich man for man. That and Atalanta dropped a lot of points in games that they shouldn’t have. Right now he’s on standby. There are no teams linked to him, but I think he’s going to be a first choice call when someone gets fired.

I will make a list later on but I hope a lot of the U21s play in the nations league, not just a few of them. Majority of the starters definitely deserve to be on our team going forward.
The amount of Italians in 2025-2026 playing in Serie A was around 30-31% basically the lowest ever. With Serie B holding in the 71 % range. While around 2006 it was around 70% for comparison.
I am looking forward to this even though I do not give a shit typically about Nations League. Let's get the manager in place, if it's Mancini, so be it, and let's start to build towards something. Seeing an actual framework of how things are going to look with new players excites me.
And with no Italy at the world cup Serie A still has the 2nd most players represented after the premier league. Another more relevant way of looking at it would be how many Italians are playing in the top 5 leagues. We likely will never get it back to 70% domestically but we need to see that trend reverse and see the number of Italians across Europe increase. currently in the top 5 leagues 1 Spain 523 2 France 400 3 Italy 300 4 Germany 277 5 England 267 If we exclude goalies and players over 30 there are roughly 150 Italians. As bleak as these numbers are I think it is clear the issue is mainly the lack of young Italians that play and four technical development which has improved since 2018. Other nations are producing talent with fewer opportunities and resources. At some point the quality of the players is the issue. Again thankfully we see a more talented generation coming through at the moment and hopefully more technical reforms are made.

If we qualify they all play in that tournament and mane, ndour, lipani, piselli, camarda, doumbia all play in it as well even if playing for full team. Great experience and we want ro win under 21s euros been so long since we won it.
I'm likely on the bad list for many Italians...I have to watch the world cup. No matter what, it's in my DNA to consume it. The only games I won't watch are USA games because they are by far the most annoying national team in existence, far beyond England at this point.
Allegri saying Vergara is on trial is the EXACT reason I keep saying that we need to FORCE reforms on the clubs. These old fckin zebras will not change their corrupt and short-sighted stripes. They just won't. Allegri is going to buy shitty players and so will AC Miland Juve. These clubs won't spend an additional DIME towards youth team development unless they are forced to. We have to cap non-EU players and force a minimum number of homegrown players for each team. I'd also require one of the homegrown players to be U21 in the line-up. Italians will not change. They must be forced to change.
I've actually enjoyed the last two world cups it's nice as a neutral. When italy is in it and then go out I have a hard time watching but since the pain is so far behind I can watch the whole thing simply as a spectacle and for the love of the game.
For me, I've lived for the world cup ever since I was seven. I can't go without it. it is a drug to me. I've woken my a$$ up at 3 in the morning to watch Cameroon vs Saudi Arabia when I was 15, I went too far at an early age to go back lol. I'm trapped in it forever
