An Italian LB will play in the UCL Final.

Calafiori (though never know with his injury issues) or Ruggeri.

I was born and live (sparingly) in a small Sardinian town. I can tell you first hand from experience that calcio is a big deal, we even have a small youth academy. This is all while population slowly declines.

Regarding Iran’s situation it seems they will participate normally as for now.

Good, we have no business being there especially now,. we'd get smashed and sent packing early and by early I mean a zero win group stage exit.

The Serie A clubs can’t have it both ways. If they want to save on salaries for top foreign talents that’s fine. But something has got to give on the domestic front. The Gravina report concedes that there are not enough Italians in the top league and then proposes the return of the growth decree as one of the solutions. It’s an insane stupidity.

Lotito brought up a good point the other day regarding player development. The clubs can’t spend money developing a player only for them to leave for 0 when it’s time to sign a pro contract. There needs to be some protections and that will be a better incentive. Right now AC Milan have phased out Alessandro Longoni who won’t sign a pro contract. The rumour is that he is being my courted by City

Talks of losing out on the 2032 Euro are picking up steam due to the almost non-existent progress that's been made on building/renovating stadiums. Che vergogna....

the growth decree is good for Serie A as it will help clubs like Juventus Milan Inter compete in the CL but it needs to be paired with a tax incentive to have under 21 Italians part of the game day roster.

You can't force clubs to play young Italians but if they have to scramble to get the best possible under 21 Italians for their substitute options they will eventually work their way into teams. These things combined would really help. There are always minutes when you have Coppa Italia Serie A and Europe the players juts need to be part of the rosters.

My world cup for this summer still exists. My little daughter and I will still wear our Azzurri shirt and follow our u-17 and u-19 during their Euros tournaments. Forza Italia!!!

As I watch Bologna and Fiorentina continue to get a beating in Europe, I think it’s safe to say that 25/26 is the worst year in calcio history (Except for maybe the year of Superga). Failures on every front. Club level, international, player development etc.

Just another example of how far behind Serie A is and further proof that an overhaul is needed from top to bottom.

I feel a bit lost because we have youth tournaments coming up which do excite me, but then I am scared of the trend towards Conte / Allegri for Senior, I want to see swift change in the FIGC and league setup, I have little faith in it happening...I don't trust being patient.

The right time for a total coup and movement already feels like it has passed.

I feel lost as a fan for the Senior team and the head coach candidates just sour me.

Bologna can send their foreigners packing, more Italian youths can’t do worse. Come on!

Why wouldn't Longoni sign a contract? Wasn't this what it was all for?
