Scalvini might be out from the knee to knee collision yesterday, doesn’t seem to be anything serious though.
lol never saw that one coming in a million years. Those paying attention know how I am when it comes to those injury updates. I'm likely just going to refrain from commenting on it at this point.
Exactly 3 weeks before our most important game, until the next one of course. Let’s hope we have the most of our players available.
Scalvini is never gonna start that’s the sad part it’s gonna be Mancini who is a big risk for a red card. And can’t control his emotions like Bastoni can’t control his emotions. Of course Politano will start even though he’s been outclassed by Vergara on his own team and Palestra. Spain starts young guys while Gattuso needs his very experienced players.
Gattuso wasn't as bad as Spalletti always playing his vets despite them selling, so let's wait and see what happens. He has made some positive changes already.
All I'll say is if you're carrying a knock and you can't gut out answering the call for possibly the most important international window in history, I don't care how good you are when you happen to play every 10th game...get lost. It can be inferred which players I'm directing that at. This should be window that finally identify those who are just too scared to fight in the toughest moment and we'll be better off finally banning them completely and moving ahead.
🚨PRE-CALLS SENT👀• Marco Verratti WILL be called-up & used as an ALTERNATIVE to Manuel Locatelli• Federico Chiesa received a call-up. He has made himself AVAILABLE. As of TODAY it’s more YES then no• Marco Palestra WILL be called• Nicolo Zaniolo NOT called@cmdotcom pic.twitter.com/p1jHexaHAn— AzzurriXtra🇮🇹 (@XtraAzzurri) March 5, 2026
Verratti coming back during a crisis to serve as Locatelli’s substitute is peak Italian decision making and a perfect symbol of everything wrong with Italian player development.
Let's get the band back together that handled the last do or die game against Northern Ireland just fine, what could go wrong
that's all in line with my team. I have zero doubt about those picks. I have no problem with Verratti. If Ricci was playing all year and if Rovella was not injured it would be a different discussion. You have to look at Verratti as an alternative to the nightmare of having Cristante out there. Is Fagioli better than Verratti right now? Maybe but he is used to losing every week you simply can't trust him. Locatelli/Verratti are our two best options at the 6 position without doubt.
I'm here just to say Brother Seba's work rate is my favorite amongst all Italian strikers at the moment.
Como is the dirtiest team in the league...the amount of fouls they get away with is criminal. That ref should ashamed of the dive call on Seba.
We have to find a way to use Palestra. He's just such a physically superior player. I feel like he's a late bloomer physically because he keeps getting bigger and faster. He BLITZED the Como left back on that cross that led to Esposito goal.
I don’t get this logic. Fagioli is playing well but he can’t be trusted. Better to put your faith in Verratti who has been semi retired for more than two years now and who hasn’t played a competitive match in 47 days.
Zaniolo: bossing the left midfield, great touch and go play, gets corner, takes a great corner and Udine score. Gattuso: Better see what Verratti is up to. Yes I'm aware that they play different positions, just calling out Gattuso's mindset that could very well cost us the playoffs.
I'm of the controversial opinion that the likes of Bonucci and Buffon probably aren't helping matters with some degree of continuation of the senatore mentality. I just wonder how arrogant these two could come off and not see the progress we need to make on the whole. neither of them can be fully absolved as heroes as they've contributed equally to world cup failures as much as success. in my opinion, post world cup qualify or not best we can do is find a Zoff like mentality and get a clean break from the same tropes of Italian coaching mentality
