He could save Juve the way Pirlo did when he was the same age. its really up to him.
might be a good time to leave Qatar anyway. he certainly does not need anymore money.
The way he plays if he has any interest in staying in peak condition he could play until 37 for sure.

I agree to me this could be the key for Italiano, I think he would be better off investing in young Italians to mold the squad

For a guy who finds a way to never play, Calafiori certainly gives several interviews to media.

if I was his trainer, I'd be asking him if he wants to play football or just talk

Fiorentina are absolute trash, no one from that team should even be considered for the NT.

Zaniolo bossed Fagioli around, hell Zaniolo bossed a number of players today.

Fiorentina were good last year but other than Rocco Commisso passing away, not sure what happened.

at least Udine have played two Italians.

    Bertola 7.4
    Zaniolo 8.1

It is nice to see Zaniolo allowed to work at peace instead of managers nagging him for everything.

Sometimes temperamental players need more peace given to them than the standard, rather than more micromanaging. We shall see how Zaniolo proceeds from here. if anything, he has earned the right to be in the periphery of Gattuso. From there, I leave it to Gattuso to decide.

I still go back to the very first sign of nagging by Mourinho and wonder if it was really justified. I have not done my research though. It just seemed to me that Roma gave up on him at light speed.

Today we see how Inter approaches Como in leg 1. I would very much prefer Inter over Como in the final. But something tells me Como will pull this one off over two legs and is destined to possibly win the coppa italia.

I think Gatusso has this starting lineup in his mind right now:

    3-5-2

    Retequi Kean

    Tonali Barella
    Di Marco Politano
    Locatelli

    Bastoni Calafiori Mancini

    Donnarumma

That right side with Barella, Politano and Mancini is scary.

I can't get behind Politano being called up at this point.

He's not in my team whatsoever. for RWB/RB I have Palestra/Kayode and if you want a RAW/RAM I would just use Berardi/Orsolini/Chiesa. I would even call Zaniolo ahead of Politano.

    My 352 would be this.

    ---------------Pio-------Retegui
    DiMarco----Tonali---Barella-----Palestra
    ----------------------Verratti
    ---------Bastoni---Acerbi--Scalvini
    ---------------------Gigio

    My 433

    --------Kean-----Retegui-----Berardi
    ---------------Tonali-------Locatelli
    ----------------------Verratti
    ----Calafiori---Bastoni--Scalvini---Kayode
    -----------------------Gigio

I make clear that the starting 11 I wrote before is what I think Gatusso has in his mind right now. It’s not my ideal starting 11.

Just read that Gabbia will be out for about a month so he won’t be available for the playoffs.

Do you start Scam-acca in front of his Bergamaschi over Retegui or Kean?

I figured that, I hope he doesn’t field that lineup. I think there is a clear case to bring Acerbi and hope he is on his A game.

It’s true that Acerbi can still give a contribution to us especially in playoffs. But I haven’t read anything about a potential return to the squad. Is he really in Gatusso’s plans?

My squad if all where fit would be 27 man squad
    Donnarumma, Carnescchi, Caprile
Bastoni, Calafiori, Coppola, Leoni, Scalvini, Kayode, Cambiaso, Palestra, Di Marco, barteseghi, Tonali, Verratti, Locatelli. Ricci, Barella, Piselli, Vergara, Chiesa,Tresoldi, Kean, Retegui, Scamacca, Esposito, berardi.
This is the best squad if all fit without a doubt anyone agree or disagree with selections.

No di lorenzo, cristante, frattessi, politano, Maldini, Zaccagni again please for the.national team. Lucca is also proving to be a major flop.
Pinamonti and piccoli are on the outskirts of the squad if we have an injury crisis either could be called potentially.
People who say we dont have quality coming through are so wrong they just dont get to play, we have in the future
Mane, ahanor, reggiani, ghilardi, baldanzi, miretti, ndour, fortini, fazzini, cisse, arena, inacio, camarda to name but a few. We also have lots of talent in youth teams under 16 team really strong. They all just need to play.

Palestra, barteseghi and vergara all playing regularly this season proves my point we have the players they just need the chance to play and develop. Also ghilardi is playing regularly at my beloved roma and look at the difference in him. I rest my case. Why oh why clubs invested in crap third rate foreigners when there is a lot of italian talent is quite incredible. If tehy where better id understand to some degree but there not.

It's been that way since roughly 2015. Going silent (not to us but to the masses) is the fact that Italia youth teams have been competing at the highest level for at least a decade now, loaded with talented players at each youth interval. Those teams are fighting to the end in most tournaments. Then those players never get to play professional games and then stop developing.

Scalvini might be out from the knee to knee collision yesterday, doesn’t seem to be anything serious though.
