Vergara from Napoli getting a lot of love today for his first start. Cool to see Ambrosino in the mix, too.
Chiesa with one of the most incredible goal saving plays by a non-goalie I think I've ever seen. All Liverpool fans want Slot out and Fede to start.
I'm glad the PL social media team magnified the play for us. Federico Chiesa stops a Sunderland a stoppage-time winner, Robin Roefs can't believe it! 😱 pic.twitter.com/QHkpCnPXU4— Premier League (@premierleague) December 4, 2025
Easy a dozen more. How about Florenzi against Germany in Euro 2016? But he did very well to hustle and put the Sunderland player off. My question is how does a Forward like Chiesa find himself as the player furthest back?
This comment stands out to me. Chiesa is being loyal to the wrong team. Slot shud feel embarassed. This guy didnt play for Italy to continue his Liv career, produces best performances for us whenever given chance, saving Slots job and still sits on bench every game.— Animesh Sood (@animesh412) December 4, 2025
yes he was special closest thing to Zlatan technically/physically speaking ... its funny all those years we didn't call him when he was in France by todays standards he'd have been starting. its a shame about his mentality and the career advice he got from Raiola which put money in his pocket short term yes but he had far too many transfers and never was able to settle anywhere in his prime. If he had a bad season he found him a transfer if he had a good season he found him a transfer.
Me and a friend were certain Balotelli was going to finally break the Azzurri scoring record. You're spot on, he should have. A normal career and it would be in the record books.
Marco Tardelli once said, that 90% of goals are stemmed from errors of GK's and defenders. Chinaglia used to say, “every goal is a great goal”! I think at this point, Italy need all the help they can get to form a good nucleus of a national team. Forza Azzurri!

I honestly had knew very little info, either. Seems like he is an attacking mid who can really push the ball forward, stalky build who likes to run, and his assist to Lucca was beautiful. Only 22 years old. Was on loan with Reggiana last season. See what happens for him at Napoli. It is nice to have some of these guys with some flair at least in the pipeline. Unfortunately you cannot go by history, if we could then it would've boded well against Norway but they were heavy favorites and destroyed us both games. We share no resemblance to our previous teams, honestly barely beating Israel and struggling against Moldova shows we are a bottom feeder team until they can prove otherwise. The sooner you accept that the easier it will be if we fail to get out of the playoffs for a third time in a row imo, at least for me.
Calafiori clips: https://football-italia.net/calafiori-scoring-threat-arsenal-fans-not-real/ Once again, he should not be playing CB. We are neutering his attacking abilities.
Someone posted these Chiesa's stats on Liverpool's reddit: Chiesa has played 139 minutes in the league this season and got the winner vs Bournemouth, equalizer vs Palace, assisted the equalizer vs United, and saved us with a goal line clearance there. BTW, there seems to be thousands of posts there showing admiration for Chiesa like he is a legend for them. This is incredible.
I’m not sure how to embed this but these are some highlights of Vergara, https://youtube.com/shorts/UCQWbvvx51o?si=QaAQ0WRrDb8UREPi
Seems to be a really neat, technical player with dribbling ability - the profile we are missing. (I say we as Italia is my 2nd favorite team.)
Plenty of work to do, but... If Italy qualify and Canada picks them, opening match for both teams will be here in Toronto. Haven't done a deep dive but is Pot 1 vs Pot 4 the opening match for each group?
African Cup of Nations takes place. Mo Salah will take part. He will like his chances to get Minutes.
He doesn't want to leave though, the whole situation is so freaking weird. The fans LOVE HIM, he has his own song which they chant, he literally is a cult figure and loves it there despite the coach saying he is a world class player even though he never plays him. Slot will prolly get sacked so hopefully the next coach plays him more.
The big draw is tomorrow. Here is what I got: Pot 1: Teams we better not got: Spain, Argentina, France, England, or Portugal. Germany and Brazil would prolly cause problems as well. Pot 2: Morocco is the best team here. Colombia, Uruguay, Ecuador, Japan, Austria, and Switzerland are teams to avoid. Some have Senegal as a dark horse while Korea and Australia are formidable opponents. Pot 3: We definitely do not want Norway. Scotland, Egypt, Algeria, and Paraguay are tough teams as well. Ivory Coast, Tunisia, and I've heard Panama are good teams too.
Added bonus, Calafiori vs Brentford: 🇮🇹Calafiori🆚BrentfordWhat a game! What a season! What a player 🔥pic.twitter.com/vLaNCgjqMM— 🇳🇴 kimmoFC (@kimmoFC) December 4, 2025 I remember arguing with people about how he is both footed when he was on Bologna and you can see it here. He is such a special player, could literally play anywhere on the pitch. Gattuso will prolly play him at CB which breaks my heart.
