Even more maddening is the replacement of Piccoli for Zaccagni. What on earth is Gattuso watching?

As much as I love him for sentimental reasons and want him to succeed for taking on the challenge, his player selection is baffling.

The Chiesa shun is really starting to make dislike some of what Gattuso is doing.

Gattuso is coming off as being attached to the a$$e$$ of certain players which is something I'd never thought he would do.

I'd love to take the job for a day just to be around Di Lo and find out way every Nazionale coach in history doesn't even try to find another RB. Is Di Lo secretly a woman handing out favors?

Yeah Inter is starting to look like a well oiled machine under Chivu and our guy Dimarco is a huge part of it. Barella got on the scorecard as well yesterday.

Fantastic goal .. Kean has become a great counter attacking striker he eats up space and one on one he's too strong. This is why he was so good under Palladino's quick break.

nice header. all the national team players are having a good day so far. Orsolini set up Cambiaghi for a superb goal as well. In general it's been a very good start for Italians in Serie A. I can't remember the last time so many Italians were playing so well for top 7 sides at once.

and now Cambiaghi with an assist to set up Orsolini!
If we wanted a 433 you could do worse than Cambiaghi Kean Orsolini.

Fiorentina continues to be an absolute disaster under Pioli. No rythym no flow, just hopes of individual brilliance from Kean.

Udinese actually played Italian but Zaniolo who otherwise played well, wasted an absolute sitter of a chance to beat Calagiari. Caprile is absolutely awesome GK btw. He will be on a top 7 team next year.

Great to see Cambiaghi and Orso combining and in form for the upcoming matches. I am totally fine with Cambiaghi getting time in these upcoming matches now that Zaccagni is out.

    Newcastle vs Nottingham Forest.

Savona played out wide midfield in a 3-4-2-1. Never seen this before from him.

    Tonali played all 90 Minutes.

It's good that Savona is starting we really need as many players at RB competing I haven't seen him play but his match ratings have been normal. I wasn't crazy about him at Juve but he is young.

Kayode also starting at RB for Brentford today. Hopefully between Kayode Savona and Palestra someone emerges to challenge Di Lorenzo.

I thought Fiorentina were better today Roma are just very solid at the back. They've been bad but a bit unlucky. Their first 3 games they should have won 2 as they conceded late for draws while Napoli Roma is difficult. Pisa they were poor and now they are in a hole with a tough schedule ahead.

In the big picture losing to Napoli and Roma was maybe expected. The draws have now put Pioli on the hot seat. I don't know if he will see the pannetone. Generally though I thought Fazzini was good today Kean was great and Cavagilia was also good if not spectacular with his final ball at times.

    what a goal!
this has been the best 2 weeks for Italians since I don't know when,

    Ekhator scores
    Pio scores
    Camarda scores
The Inter Italians all score and do well
Calafiori Tonali Chiesa Donnarumma all are their teams key players in important matches with big moments
Orsolini Cambiaghi emerge as a duo
Kean Piccoli get on the score sheet
Kayode Savona begin to become starters
Cagliari and their Italians all do well
Spinazolla comes back to life as a top player

Speaking of Spina he had another great appearance off the bench at RB.

supposedly Arsenal is already scouting him. He seems very composed for a 19 year old and he can run.

maybe it's to have a 352 as a back up system or play Spina at RM if its a true flat 442.
I would assume Orsolini starts in place of Politano and Spin is an option for the bench.
He can also replace Di Lorenzo if need be at RB.

Top Italians of the week according to calciomercato.com and tuttomercatoweb.com, and Eurosport

    Hellas - Sassuolo:
    Pinamonti

    Lazio - Torino:
    Cataldi
    Cancellieri

    Parma - Lecce:
    Del Prato
    Cutrone
    Falcone
    Gallo
    Sottil

    Inter Cremonese:
    Barella
    Dimarco
    Silvestri

    Atalanta - Como:
    Carnesecchi
    Ahanor

    Udinese - Cagliari:
    Caprile
    Borelli

    Bologna - Pisa:
    Orsolini
    Cambiaghi

    Fiorentina - Roma:
    Fazzini
    Kean
    Mancini
    Cristante

    Napoli - Genoa:
    Di Lorenzo
    Spinazzola
    Sabelli
    Masini
    Ekhator

    Juve - Milan:
    Rugani!
    Gabbia

Some of my big takeaways from the weekend:
    - Two match days in a row that Cancellieri puts in an exceptional performance.

    - Dimarco seems to have his groove back. But I would caution people not to get too hyped.

    - Very good performances by the recent callups. Cambiaghi, Cristante and Mancini all put in good work. I still maintain that Mancini is a competent defender in a back 3.

    - Very promising performances by young players like Ekhator, Ahanor or Bartesaghi.

    - Pioli can’t get fired soon enough.

It’s crazy how Fagioli is one of the best technical Italian mids of this generation and he cannot get a sniff of the field. Pioli just doesn’t see him. Doesn’t know where to play him. He needs to get out of Florence along with Parisi. These guys are two players that deserve to be starting elsewhere

No Zaccagni and now Politano and still no Chiesa? Not even as a bench option?

Gattuso will say tomorrow he is battling with fitness issues even though he was on the bench for Liverpool.

Ricci should've stayed at Torino, he's getting no playing time whatsoever.
