They tried Chiesa as a #9 at Juve and it was not a success. Chiesa's best role is on the flank. We know he can play; fitness has always been the issue.

Pinamonti is a good player but he's lingered at lower level clubs for too long. I'm afraid the same thing will happen with Colombo.

Our guy Pio with another banger today...this time off a free kick. IMo it says a lot that a team competing for promotion trusts free's to a 19 year old. I really think he is one of our best striking prospects since probably Ballotelli (with no obvious mental issues)

Adorante scored as well so it could be a Juve stabia Spezia final which is good for Serie A. IMO Pio is guaranteed Serie A next year with someone whether it is backup at Inter or a loan as he has nothing more to do in B. Adorante unforntuantely is probably not getting picked up unless they gain promotion.

Vicario is so bad at flighted balls...hilarious they won that game with how many crosses and restarts he flubbed.

My 3 GKs would be Donna Gigio, Meret, and Carnesecchi

Teams are already announcing their squads, any idea when Spalletti will announce his crew?

Adorante and Esposito on the board for both Juve Stabia and Spezia in the B semis. Would be nice if they faced off in the final.

It will be a crime if Esposito doesn’t play in Serie A next year. In a normal world, Lucca moves on to a bigger club and Inter place him at Udine on a season loan.

If Juve Stabia make it, I think they still use artificial turf. So I think they would be the only team after Novara to have played in serie A on turf.

If Orsolini and Mandragora aren’t on this list I’m going to smash my head on my screen

Lorenzo Venturino a winger age 18 just scored two beautiful first half goals for Genoa against Bologna on the road.

    Per wiki….

Venturino is a versatile player who can play across the front line, as a winger, forward, midfielder, or even as a wing-back. He is agile and quick with a slender physique, has excellent ball control. He is strong defensively and is skilled at providing assists to his teammates.

    Venturino’s first goal was Baggio-esque.

What a debut for Venturino. Good for that kid. He was crying after he scored. Means a ton to him.

Orsolino must just be a real asshole in the locker room. No other reason he's not getting called up. It would make no sense to exclude him.

amazing what happens when you play these kids. they have legs and no fear until managers coach it into them. Genoa would not have played him until their season as secured.

    Beh, I doubt it.

IMO, it's s because he plays in the 7 spot and currently Italy play in a formation that doesn't fit him in. Zaccagni CAN, however, play wing and as a support striker. Plus Politano was called last window because Spalletti is loyal to his ex players.

I seem.to recall Calafiori and Orsolini getting along last year. Here is Chiellini messing around with Orsolini years ago (even though the camera was on Dybala) this "kiricocho" was towards Orsolini.

That said, he has to be called on Friday. Make it work somehow.

Imagine if Chiesa or Maldini had the season Orsolini is having. We'd be calling them the one.

This is true and Politano can play as a wing back because he has the workrate for it but you have to bring Orsolini now even as an option off the bench to switch to a 343 if you need to change something up or are chasing a goal.

We can also just throw him into a front two and see what happens.

    Prefer the latter option.

Compared to last season I haven't watched much of Bologna recently. 15 Goals and 5 Assists is a good return. Kean has comparable numbers but likely plays better off of Retegui's shoulder than Orsolini can.

Politano contributed to a league title, Assist on the opener yesterday. We just don't know if Orsolini can play this role.

    Of Note

Buongiorno didn’t play yesterday. So this is quite the layoff for him to be thrust into the First 11 to mark Haaland.

IMO, he needs to shut it down for the season. No need to risk an unfit player in the biggest match for Italy this calender year.

The old school Italian skipper's coached the fun out of these kids but there's a new breed of coaches like Italiano, palladino, DeZerbi, et al that have embraced modern tactics with their own flare and are not afraid of playing kids with talent...we seriously need more of them to promote the youth we have in our ranks.
