Any thoughts on andrea adorante from juve stabia he has scored a fair amount this season in serie b. Anyone think he could make the move to.serie a and could possibly make national team at some point.

I'm usually all in on youth, but we can screw around with these qualifiers. Bringing a hammer like Acerbi may be the right thing.

Adorante is your typical Italian late bloomer. Could he play in Serie A? Yes. But, you have to wonder why it took him so long to put it together. He's what I would call a crafty forward...nothing mind-blowing but he can be effective.

No for me on Acerbi, kinda.

Kudos to him for his match against Barca but need to make good a 1 Year Project and identify a group to qualify and to make a deep run this time next year. He will be 38 Years Old. Chiellini barely made it over the line in 2021.

But. Given Buongiorno's absence, and reading the messages here, none of us like seeing Bastoni at CB, I'd take him for Norway/ Moldova.

No one to blame but the FIGC, you think they would pony up 7 million a year for a coach? Spalletti earns 3 million but a third world shit hole like Brazil can put together 7 million for a coach, clown organization.

Ancelotti wants to win the World Cup. Why would he coach a has-been that can't even qualify to the tournament anymore, like Italy?

Spal is our guy and we must do everything we can to qualify. It will not be easy.

We still have the players but the top tier coach was missing.

With all due respect Brazil hasn't had a top class creative midfielder or a top class CF since 2010.
You are still producing very good wingers centre backs and goalkeepers but the reason but without a creative midfielder and a number 9 there is no World Cup winning spine.

And it's not just missing a top class coach the issue is Brazilian football is incapable of producing a top class coach because tactically it is stuck in the 80s. Outside a couple a names most of the players while still capable become mercenaries for mediocre premier league or worse oil clubs chasing a pay check and burning out by 28.

Can Carlo fix this? Yes he could potentially help Brazil win a world cup he is that good at cup competitions and dealing with star players or players that believe they are stars but I wouldn't throw stones at an Italy that has beaten Spain Germany France England Belgium Croatia in recent years while Brazil has been beat over and over by these European teams in the same time frame and while Italy won Euro 2020 which was far more prestigious than Brazil beating Peru in the 2019 Copa America final.

In fact since Italy and Brazil have last won the World Cup Italy has been to two euro finals winning one while Brazil has been to 3 Copa America finals winning 1 and when you adjust for the ease of the Copa America versus the Euros it would be generous to Brazil to say that record is even and not in favour of Italy.

I agree that Pio is the better prospect but in the short term, Seba might have the better shot at getting into Inter squad for next year. Lautaro is starting to slow down, and Correa is dogshit. As a support striker he might fit in.

Yes. Correa is precisely the player who is rumored to be moved out.

Oristanio and Zerbin combining today. I would like to see both players stay in A next season.

It's my feeling Don Carlo will get what's coming. And if not, then it results in Brazil having to hire an Italian to finally win the world cup again. Worse things have happened; I could stomach that.

Oristanio is another like Fazzini and Esposito that is hurt by playing for a team that does not have the ball enough. He spends so much of his energy defending. If he were to move to a top 8 side I think he could impress. He would be a good option for a Lazio or Bologna even off the bench.

your country will probably qualify for the next world cup by winning less than half of their games played. must be nice to qualify the mickey mouse disney route.

Good point that honestly I have thought of a few times when reviewing world cup qualifying.

FIFA increased to 48 teams, and then barely increased any spots for UEFA and then somehow decided "OK and all of South America qualifies LOL" Quite the joke that I don't see anyone call out until now

I've mentioned it so many times. COMMEBOL is a fu(kin joke. Ecuador and Uruguay each lost 6 times!!! in 18 games. They lost 2X more than Italy in the last 2 qualifying campaigns.

Ancelotti is a fu(kin traitor. He was offered the nazionale job many times, said he preferred the day to day of a club, yet jumps at the chance to coach a nation of transvestites. Embarassing for Brazil, who are pathetic. Its like Team Canada in hockey hiring a Russian/American coach.
