Cup Final (1991 Film) Given the current climate, and seemingly a lack of news coming out of Coverciano despite an upcoming match... From IMBD & Wikipedia "Israeli film set during the 1982 invasion of Lebanon by Israel and the 1982 FIFA World Cup. A young Israeli soldier, Cohen, is kidnapped by a group of Palestinian fighters who hold him as a hostage during the conflict. The 1982 FIFA World Cup happens to be on during the invasion, and their mutual love of association football and in particular the Italy national football team, helps break down the barriers of nationalism and the historical baggage that the two bring. A kind of alliance is forged between the two men. Their relationship heads for a tragic ending as the Italian team, along with the goal scoring Paolo Rossi make their march toward winning the 1982 FIFA World Cup Final."
Speaking of Berardi, this video just showed up on my feed that is relevant. Bobo Vieri says how he had a mentality shift when he joined Juve from Atalanta. Atalanta were a mid to low table team at the time battling to stay in Serie A. But at Juve he found himself on a team that had to fight for everything. Point being that Berardi wasted so many years at Scamsuolo. He should have had a better career https://www.facebook.com/share/r/chLjMUYQCzN3pc9f/?mibextid=N9fs7i
for sure when you go by the pure numbers Berardi is better than a lot of big name stars the last 10 years. he's essentially been a top 5 RW since he was 19 give or take purely by the stats but it's been wasted by being something used to keep Sassuolo from relegation. he's a provincial guy. we see this a bit with players from the south. sometimes a good pay check and a quiet life is all they want. his Sassuolo money goes very far in Calabria I am sure he is taking care of everyone. but outside Salah Bale Di Maria at the RW position are/were the likes of Saka Rodrigo Mahrez Dembele etc really better than Berardi? the numbers suggest no. 399 app 149 goals 96 assists for 245 goal contributions.
https://football-italia.net/what-italy-need-to-qualify-nations-league/ This article is not correct. Even if we win tonight and France defeats Belgium, there is still the possibility of not finishing in top two. This can happen if we lose both our last games. Obviously I am really confident we can finish 1st, at least 2nd.
Reading now that security in Udine is in high alert. Offices and stores were closed early. The hotels that both the teams are staying at considered “red zones”
Im a fan of the continuity. wish Baldanzi was called to replace Pellegrini as I see him as the best option for the number 10 role but let's see how Raspadori does here.
I remember he had some sort of episode behind the scenes years ago when he was early 20s. He was out with an extended injury and people were getting to the point of wondering would he ever be back. They covered it up by claiming it was an injury. Its a while ago but there were constant rumours it was mental health related and that he couldnt handle the fame and attention. I think it took him years after this to rebuild but hes been ready for a move since 26/27 years old. Thats a reasonable age for a player to make the big step up with maturity but hes wasted his prime now.
Raspadori is a quality player he really needs to be at a club where he plays regularly. a club like AC Milan could really use him or even Lazio.
this back 3 where every player is mobile capable of making unmarked runs and passes into play is really fantastic and completely unique in world football. Di Lorenzo struggled at the euros in a back 4 but he can do the job with proper coverage.
Despite the fact that this team can fall asleep defensively, the attacking sequences continue to be fantastic.
Fagioli still does not look comfortable as a regista. certainly not taking the spot from Ricci anytime soon. Is he more suited as a 10?
