Wasn't expecting Inter to come out guns blazing, Darmian what was he thinking?

Frattesi could make some hay with these counters Inter have been getting, but other guys have been wasting. Doesn't look like he's coming in, though.

Frattesi would've put that on goal. Mkhitaryan with the flub.

Inter looked good against maybe the best side in the world, really it's about identity. Inter play and scout like a really good Serie A team. Milan play and scout like a mid table EPL team and that's the result you get when you play a top level team of that style/player profile.

Milan played a high line with a poor defence and 3 midfielders that have no business being a 6 or a 10. They wen't backwards. They can course correct but they have to be careful now.

Juve and Inter with 4 Italians in their Lineup get good Results. Even if Juve do play as many as 7 so far this season. Granted PSV aren't all that. Milan and Bologna with 3 between the both of them and disappoint. Love to see it.

Acerbi is 36 years old and brutally slow but man is he still a wall in defense.

He knows what he's talking about!

they really screwed the pooch.. that midfield was the team the defence and attack was never all that good. Chukweze and Pulisic won't help you as much as losing that midfield will hurt you. Salemakers and Messias were fine didn't make a difference they ran and played hard.

They should maybe move to a back 3. Hopefully the next gen kids can bring life and identity to this team. They have a lot of building blocks I don't think they will fall into the banter era again but they have to be very careful with how they progress their transfer strategy.

I remember at Lazio I felt like he was the next Barzagli with how he was blooming late.
It's amazing he was not rated at all in his 20s. I wonder who else could come good like this in the coming years? Romangnoli? Casale? Baschirotto? Maybe a Mateo Lovato he could become a stalwart in his 30s for a top club playing a back 3. I actually felt Rugani was going down that road with Juve but then he took this weird transfer to Ajax. I bet he would've been good for an AC Milan to partner with Pavolic.

Is Calafiori still nursing the Dembele karate kick injury? I thought he'd start a midweek game like this, for sure.

If Atalanta can hang, I expect they'll get a big boost from Bellanova and Brescianini coming in with frash legs in the second half. I mean, Arsenal has plenty of guys coming off their bench, but that's all these spoiled EPL clubs.

I still maintain any Italian player going to play in England is a death sentence. Including Chiesa. It just never works in the modern era. Partly because you'll never play.... I'm convinced some English clubs try to buy Italians to let them rot and weaken the Nazionale player pool. If I had any advisory role, I'd advise Italians to run from England and never answer when they come calling. it's like the devil himself calling you.

Sounds like his life's calling as a footballer. Hopefully Italy can finally move on from him after not learning their lesson first time around.

Capello is 100 correct. Milan are just a badly built team.

    Milan SIGN RICCI IN JANUARY!

Vicario, Udogie, Tonali, and Gnonto are starters for their teams. Chiesa knew he wasn't going to start since they have 2 world class wingers. If Saleh moves on, he should be able to take over the RW but unlikely their leader leaves. Chelsea screwed over Casadei, Scamacca was injured when he was there, Zaniolo just isn't that good. Calafiori is a mystery to me, let's wait and see what happens, Jorginho was a starter for them last year btw.

Yes, Retegui missed 2 chances during the penalty, but other than that, he actually was great. He is starting to grow on me and I am glad we have him. His hold up play is world class, Saliba and Gabriel could never push him over and win the ball back. He had a few nice quick link up passes, very similar to Scamacca out there with the added work rate.
