REDIVIVO

yes their owners are foolish in their attempt to make a B level EPL team. selling Tonali was such a mistake when you look at the replacements.

Every serie a team would of accepted the offer. We don't have the big ownership to turn down those kinds of offers.

    Italy midfield depth

    Tonali
    Barella
    Ricci
    Fagioli
    Fratessi
    Brescianini
    Locatelli
    Pellegrini

    Fabbian
    Pisilli
    Baldanzi
    Rovella
    Pessina
    Folorunsho
    Colpani
    Bove
    Miretti
    Bianco
    Fazzini
    Ndour
    Prati

    next gen/under 19

    Maninini
    Zeroli
    Liberarli
    Pafundi
    Casadei?

this is leaving out the likes of Castrovili Sensi Mandragora Jorginho Cristante Cataldi that likely will never get into the nazionale between now and 2026 but looking at the long list it is very evident that we have the most depth at midfield than we have since at least the 2000s and from a technical perspective maybe ever. I won't call it a golden generation until they win more both domestically and abroad but there is a lot of talent. If we made a list of the Gks Cbs and fullbacks the list would be equally impressive and topped by players that can be considered top 5 - top 10 in their position in the world. It is amazing how much the 352 solves a lot of our issues when it comes to a lack of world class wingers inside forwards etc.

I know and you are right but the money spent was not worth it for me. yes they were able to build a new team with Pulisic Chukweze Loftus Cheek Reindjers DeKetalare etc but the strategy seems to have backfired as they have regressed post Tonali Bennacer Kessie.

If they bought the right players it would have been a steal and they were out there but the owners seemed to want a EPL athletic type which I get as that Scudetto Milan side looked weak physically in CL against top sides but they overcorrected and lost all their technique.

Not about the replacement. The fact is juve. Inter etc would of accepted thr offer without thinking twice.
Plus you never know with tonali. His gambling can be an addiction.
    Let us pray!

I was impressed with Tonali's speed. Not sure if it was his time off, but never realized how fast he is.

The sale was a good decision. The problem is that Milan’s player recruitment is a disaster

L’Equipe report that Maignan – one of three Milan players in the starting XI – angrily screamed at teammates in the locker room after the match.

He berated them for a terrible attitude, warning that while only two Italy players would get into the current France XI, they won thanks to their desire and aggression.

Apparently, Newcastle had him working with a biomechanist to improve his running form. So, maybe that's why he seems to have another gear, these days.

Whatever they're doing it's working, he picked up some serious pace that had me scratching my head.

I still don't like Spaletti, will that change? Probably not especially with his odd starting lineups that include Di Lo and Pellegrini. I was excited at first when he was chosen but I could never forgive him for embarissing Italy on the world stage, absolute disgrace.

I'd be much more confident with someone like Allegri, he doesn't play pretty calcio but it gets results and that's all that matters.

Dimarco has a magical left foot, but I want our wingbacks to take a man on like Udogie did when he got that assist for Raspadori's goal. This is essential especially since we are not using any wingers like say Chiesa to try and make chances on the wings. Dimarco has the speed to do it, but all game he gets the ball with no one on him and doesn't ever go forward. Inter fans say he is like this, why?

Cambiaso is a little more forward thinking, but you put a guy like Bellanova in and you will see the difference.

How is his defending skills? This is the first game I've seen of this stud and boy oh boy did he impress me. Man of the match imo. What I wonder about is his defending skills. That is what I miss in a regista, you watch Locatelli and you can hate him all you want, but one thing is for sure, he is relentless off the ball and that is what we need in a regista.

Same, Di Lo and Pellegrini should not start. I honestly believe he will keep Di Lo in there until Scalvini is ready. Remember all those dumb ass mistakes Dimarco did vs Bosnia and Albania? He never got benched, Spalletti is stubborn af and will keep his child in there.

Pellegrini could get benched for Chiesa, but then who do you replace for Barella? Another thing, for whatever reason, Frattesi NEVER plays on the left, so when Barella starts with him, they always move Barella to the left and that should not be happening.

I would love to see one game how it looks with Tonali-Ricci-Barella and Frattesi up in front behind Retegui. Like I've previously said, Frattesi needs to be up in front bc he is one of our top goal scorers.

There is a reason France didn't press us. It was easy for the Swiss to press us because:

    1. Jorginho has no mobility left at all and only plays short passes which don't work when a team closes off the short passing lanes.

    2. Cristante has brick feet.

    3. Barella was not in form. Both he and Di Marco looked burned out after a long season.

    4. Scamacca is a lazy as hell so he doesn't allow an outlet to find open spaces and hold the ball.

You add in that Darmian has poor feet and Di Lo sucked and we played a 4-3-3....well...now you know why this was night and day different.

A 5 man midfield with skilled feet is MUCH harder to press. This just magnifies Spalletti's idiocy this past summer, but better late than never for him.

Frattesi doesn't have the feet to be a seconda punta or trequartista. He's at his best running box to box. The perfect seconda punta right now for us is actually Raspadori. Smart and great feet.

Dimarco is much better than Hernendez

I think from 2018-2022 the world was scared of France. Alot of their hype is because of their players are overvalued on the Transfermarket. Top teams have caught up to them. Mbappe is being figured out.. Haaland is so much a better striker.

Theo will at least dribble pass his man and he is much better defensively than Dimarco. Dimarco has a wonder left foot tho, but I rate Theo higher.

Mbappe needs to play LW but with Barcola and Vini Jr playing there, he has to figure out how to be just as dominant as a CF. LW tho, he is world class.

Theo was being bitched by Cambiaso yesterday so I'm not sure he is really better than Di Marco.
