Di Lorenzo starting RCB for Napoli, watch Spalletti continue to play him.

Bellanova didnt get his big move like Buongiorno got. Spalletti better not overlook him as he should be our starting RWB.

Retegui ghosting vs Madrid. Jack false #9 and Camarda for Azzurri.

What did you expect Retegui to do with a brand new team, coming off the bench, against the best team in the world? Plus, no Koopmeiners.

I understand, it's just I've seen enough of him and really don't like his style of play. The lack of options we have for our entire attacking front line is disgusting.

We lament the lack of Italians on top teams in Italy. Atalanta started 2 of them. Obviously Scamacca is injured and Carnesecchi will get time.

But Madrid only started 1 Spaniard. Given Spain are European Champions you would expect them to have more faith in domestic players.

Real Madrid is a marketing money making powerhouse. They don’t care about Spanish players they care about marketing. The other teams in Spain care about developing players because they can’t buy players like Real Madrid. It’s also a cultural and ethnic pride that seems to be much more stronger in Spain than in Italy. You never see Campania or Calabria have people take to the streets demanding independence. They just piss and moan about what the unification of Italy did as if it happened yesterday.

Agreed. Wrote it recently on here Spain is like Italy in this regard that regional pride is bigger than national pride. Also, goes without saying both prefer club over country as most of Europe does.

Carnesecchi will prolly start all league games like last year. Scamacca definitely would've been the starter and Im sure Retegui will now start in due time. Zaniolo will challenge CdK for the RW spot but he is out injured. Scalvini will be out half the season or so.

The Zaniolo-ship has sailed for me. Too injured and just not not good enough. Not gonna fall for the hype again.

Between Berardi and Zaniolo's injuries, Chiesa's contract issue, Spalletti may have to go hat-in-hand and sweet talk Orsolini. Wouldn't be surprised if Orsolini declines.

It depends on how many Italians are playing for Juve. Then again after cacciopoli many Juve fans are done with the national team…

Berardi could of been something great if he would of just moved on from Sassuolo. Orsolini has a lot of sizzle but he isn’t a guy who is going to lead this team to glory. Even Motta started using him as a sub.

There's no reason to use a front-three in the short-term. You just laid out the case: this team doesn't have any senior-level, experienced talent to field a formidable front three. Spalletti would rather get dominated by Austria every weekend than play Orsolini, and really only he and Politano provide any reason to play a front-3, and they both play the same position.

What a dire situation this squad is in, as @Vieri#9 stated earlier. F*cking depressing.

Please let Camarda and Liberali arrive sooner rather than later. Maybe those kids can save the team.

Vignato looked pretty good against AC Milan the other day, too. Once these kids and Pafundi get some hair on their chest, we may have a squad.

I hope out hope for Raspadori, but it needs to happen soon, or Italy is going to be in deep sh*t trying to qualify for that next WC.

Is Pafundi with Udinese this season or back on loan?

Is he gonna be sitting while Udinese try to squeeze every last bit out of Alexis Sanchez?

Might as well send him back to Lausanne now.

Pafundi's loan is until the end of the year, so at the moment he's still with Lausanne.

Roma needs a play like Totti.

I will take someone like Montella

The last decent strikers that Italy had were Balotelli and Cassano. They weren’t world class players, but they scored goals when Italy needed the goals.

This is a very average Italian team.

Cassano had more skill than 99% of footballers today.

footballers today dont have skill anymore, its been replaced by athleticism. Where's today's free kick specialists? Not one free kick goal all euros.

Also, in Euro 2020/2021, only 1. Mikkel Damsgaard, then of Sampdoria. Denmark vs England SF.

Seems like Roma will get Chiesa if La Joya Dybala goes to Saudi. A shame, I would have liked to have seen them play together again.

Pinamonti will replace Retegui at Genoa.

Pinamonti could find himself in another Relegation battle with the Grifone.
