Hello all, Please do me a favor and email Tim Sullivan, the UT columnists about his article. He is the first columnists to come to a game and write about the game and not about women's soccer is nice, but will it work. tim.sullivan@uniontrib.com This is important!!
I've sent him an email. I can't remember another U-T columnist writing about women's soccer (except maybe at the height of the WWC-99.)
I've already received a nice two paragraph reply from Mr. Sullivan. He thanked me for my email and acknowledged that he had received some expert tutoring from Mark Z.
finally got my email off. it really was great to see an "essay" on the Spirit game, albeit in a losing cause. along with the fact the game was reported on the front page, i'd say it was pretty impressive coverage, all things considered. he's in augusta now, covering the Masters.
Tim sent me back a very nice reply as well. He asked for suggestions for further stories, saying he'll be out at Torero again in the future. Any suggestions? I thought focusing on Zhang, living in a foreign country, so far away from home, with so much happening in the world, might be an interesting angle. Particularly if she becomes a regular starter.
I would be interested in how Daniela is adjusting. Her fellow Brazilians are all together in San Jose and she's all by herself. Plus, she's younger than the others, and younger than Zhang also.
