The Barcelo Hotels web site has a function that permits you to contact guests at the Palacio in San Jose: http://www.barcelo-hotels.com/Barce...ca/SanJose/SanJosePalacio/Principal/Principal Click on the rectangular smiley in the lower left-hand corner. This brings up a form for sending a guest an e-mail. Let's all send the team best wishes and let them know we're behind them--even if we can't see the match or cheer them on in a "home" leg.
Done.... It was a bit hard to figure out though. Just click on the little happy face icon at the bottom of the left-side menu. At the "Contact with Clients" page, go to the lower right box in the "Hotel" portion and select "San Jose Palacio Spa & Casino" from the pull-down. The rest of that portion will get filled in for you.
And also un-check the tick-box that indicates you don't know for sure where your party is staying....
One quick question. Is the CCC just straight aggegerate or do away goals count more than home goals? If so, which is the "away" game and which is the "home' game for the Revs?
The away goals rule does not apply in this tournament....the home match was supposed to be the 2nd...
It doesn't matter It doesn't matter how many support letters y'all send, LDA is going to pound their asses down there anyway!! I know, that's my team!!! Ha-ha!! Well, at any rate, I don't think we'll be able to watch these games on TV. Maybe catch highlights on a Mexican channel. But, I do suggest this, even though it's kinda crappy, you can tune-in to the costarrican channels (either c.6 or c.7 should have it) - through live internet relay - it's a 2" x 3" screen but it's free (you can get full screen but you have to pay). Go to cablevirtual.com. VIVA LA LIGA!! (that's LDA for those of you who don't know)
I spoke to Mike Dressler this morning. He said they were still working on telecasting the game, at least to selected bars. I asked him if they would consider a five minute ticker on the website (There will be no webcast.), and he said that might be possible.
"(There will be no webcast.)" That the Revs are doing, but I wonder if one of the local radio stations in San Jose might broadcast the match on-line? Better than nothing. The Magpie
Re: It doesn't matter I checked into this. It appears from what I can translate on the web site that the free relay is no more--you have to pay. If I'm mistaken and someone can set me straight, be my guest.
As a kid, it didn't take me long to figure out that when my parents said, "maybe" or "we'll see" that they really meant, "no". It appears that my folks have given the Krafts a lesson on how to say "No" creatively. Everytime I hear a "we are working on it" or "that might be possible" I will just insert the word, "no". Translation - "Read about it on the website a week after someone has posted the details and result on BigSoccer." I don't mean any disrespect to the "real" Revs staffers. I'll bet that they are being given some false glimmer of hope that their efforts could amount to something. So far the track record of "maybe" turning into "yes" is pretty close to zero.
Sent a message to Hernandez and Moore, everyone should do this before gameday! (wonder if someone will get any sort of response?)
Radio Columbia (http://www.columbia.co.cr/) Radio Reloj (http://www.radioreloj.co.cr/) are usually good bets.
telecasting it for $ 25,000 each game to be paid by the Revs, now that would be ironic, talk about trying to save some money good luck to the Revs !
