admirable, but do you think they will listen. besides i'm sure they want the best too. its the club owners like ferguson that might not let ppl like ronaldo go. unless ferguson sees it as an opportunity to show that manchester is a good team without ronny and/or he wants ronaldo to get publicity from the olympics.
I think its wishful thinking to say that players like ronaldo will go to the olympics, even carlitos is leaving it up to trap, who basically already said no. The FPF is urging teams to let their players go if they are called, which is a good sign.

Yeah I read those messages and its amazing how they come from all over the world. I think thats the first time I have seen sooo many people cheering for portugal. Did you see the pre game when people would follow the bus to the stadium..it was great, the boats, horses, etc....Even american newspapers talked about them..... Nice to see so much unity, I hope they continue it for the olympics and WC! I was wondering about Madail's comments about Figo and Costa...is it for the olympics or just the national team in general...I thought Costa made it extra clear he was retiring??
Im trying to figure out why Couto hasnt retired yet...the man is 35, LOL! Figo is getting old, every now and then he has a good game, holland for example, but we need more consistency.
