Well, not the set of moves I was thinking. Beau and Chico got new contracts, so we don't know what they make. I'm putting us down as declining Espinoza's option, because regardless of whether it was on purpose or not, that happened. We traded Chance Cowell for up $650k in GAM if he meets performance metrics plus RSL's 2027 3rd round draft pick, and then we turned around and traded that draft pick for to FC Cincinnati for Nate Crockford. No official article yet, but the was tweet that we signed Tomo Allan to a Homegrown contract. In the draft we traded our first round pick to Houston Dynamo FC for $75,000 2026 GAM and $75,000 2027 GAM. In the second we picked Jack Jasinski. Despite the apparent value of 3rd round picks, we passed on one in 2026. Oh, and Chris Leach is gone.

Well, Lima's retirement moves us the wrong direction in terms of fill what is now 6 open senior roster spots, though as some have been saying, he didn't look to be a big contributor this year. I was happy to see him come back but things never really got going for him here. I'm glad to see him retire in his hometown uniform.

Losing Lima moves us in the RIGHT direction (unlike on the political spectrum) because it reduces the number of useless players taking up roster spots. And even worse than useless players are useless expensive/overpaid players, who count against the cap (unlike Verhoeven)....

If we're going to have so many open roster spots, so draft picks are pretty much guaranteed to make the roster, why did we trade away the 11th pick in first round so our top draft pick is a second rounder? Why didn't we acquire more first round draft picks instead?
