Only Saprissa has the nutsack to eliminate a Mexican club. I don't remember the last time a club not named Saprissa eliminated a mexican team.

I'm guessing that if Saprissa had gotten past the group stage, they would still be here. They always get better the farther into a tournament they get. Using my logic, the all Mexican final is essentially DC United's fault. :D

I think they would have been eliminated by Cruz Azul or Santos by now

You should. They played their game and tried to hold on to their lead. Props also for coming out in extra time.

The third goal by CA... the player clearly extends his arm to stop the ball before putting it in.

PR could have indeed tried to play more. The strategy was not the problem, though; they did not maintain possession by passing the ball precisely. Too many kick-outs without stringing 3-4 passes.

One thing PRI did NOT do: break down like the Impact did against Santos.

Atlante or Santos should eat up Cruz Azul...

PR deserved to lose. I don't care what team is playing, you never play away for a draw, most times you will end up losing. Poor tactics by a poor manager. Cruz Azul deserved the win.

The man put had excellent tactics during the entire tournament, he was bound to screw up once, to bad it was during the semifinals, well better here than in the finals. Jeje will be back for next years I hope he learn from this game.

The funny thing is that this victory is a double edge sword for Cruz Azul now they are stuck with Galindo.

If he continues to do poorly in the Mexican tourney he will surely get the axe.

I'm sure but this game gave him more time to do this, that could of been spend with the new coach fixing whatever problems the team had.

To tell you the truth I would have rather won and gone to the final :)

If we play like we did on this game we would surely lose against either Santos or Atlante. I thought whoever won this game anyway would lose to the other two teams. That is unless we can improve, I hope we do. We haven't won any silverware in a long time.

Plus we have the most Concacaf club titles, we have a reputation to uphold ;)

Great second game. Santos were sore losers. Good action. Lots of red cards at the end...:D Atlante go through!
