Nothing we are not used to, but it is fair in the end.

    Spain won't lose :)
Boring gameplay and luck high ten at the end of course. That's it.

    Spain will always win. Always!

But I will pray Italy and Germany can BOTH 100% beat Spain this time. They can, will and have to. Can't say anything else.

And don't say you fear no one! You SHOULD!

He certainly did want all the glory for himself, but it's become standard practice for the strongest shooter to take the fifth penalty.

Why would we fear anyone when you said we will always win? ;)

It means there are better teams or at least gameplay wise better teams. Not quality wise but...you know damn it :)
Not always the best wins right? Therefor Spain will always win but that's just cynical from me ^^

what i dont understand is why on earth would you put cb defenders to take your penalty kicks , ramos , pepe , bruno , pique i mean seriously the ones who take pk's are usually either strikers or midfielders , were they too scared to take them :cautious:

Let´s hope that next year we´ll be speaking about the chances of Spain winning 4 in a row.

Portugal, sorry to see you go out. You played well and could have just as easily gone through. Too bad CR did not kick earlier. Very unlucky. Good luck in 2014...should be a good team.

    Congrats to Spain.

Very very unlucky Portugal. They absolutley deserved to take this home and showed the world how to push Spain to its Limits. Sadly, it wasn´t enough. Respect to this portuguese Team, you´ve played some great football.

Hehehe or Italy. Lets not get ahead of ourselves. And Respect to Portugal. Nobody I know thought this would be easy. We were slightly better in the run of play....but not by much.

Respectfully disagree, from my perspective Portugal were clearly the better side in the 90 minutes but Spain took control in extra time

I wouldn't say they're unlucky. Spain ended up having more chances in the end. Though I agree that I have full respect for Portugal for pushing Spain to the limit. Well, it's more than respect, since from the group stages I've thought this was the second best team in tournament. I don't feel that Germany or Italy can pull that kind of defense through.

That has to be the only reason.

And it is jaw-droppingly idiotic. It is so brain-freezingly stupid that it literally takes the fun out of basking in his disappointment. Truly one of the biggest What. The. Eff. moments I've seen in football.

Portugal played well, but how many saves was Casillas forced into? Honest question.

It was a pretty tight match; I didn't see any huge difference or dominance except for extra time when it was mostly the Spanish.

    ALSO:
Any lip readers figure out what Cesc was saying to himself before the winner?

Spain was so bad it makes Greece of 2004 look like Spain of 2008.
    Absolutely mind-numbingly bad.
Only Navas, Pedro and Pique did not completely suck.
Like I always say, Navas should always, always play for Spain.
And yet Portugal failed to beat them! Ronaldo with an absolute stinker missing several wonderful opportunities from his favorite spots.
Dire, hideous, unwatchable match that was.

Ronaldo said "undeserved". Was said in german television from a portuguese lip reader.

I think not just Portugals defense was good but also Spains offense quite bad today. Therefor Italy and Germany have a great chance to win it! Which would be a lot better for both teams AND football in general :)

Otherwise Spain would be the huge favorite for the World Cup 2014....as always -_-

Portugal fatigued themselves very early at a high cost. But did create good occasions.

The thing with our national team is that, opponent teams can play at a very hard pace and stop our ball circulation in the first half. But they are going to show a fatigue in the second half. And its no coincidence Spain scores in the second half.

It takes other teams a lot of energy to stop possesion. Portugal slowed the pace down, because they were tired.

Then we add Pedro and Navas and that really takes the breath out of the opponents.

As for the game tomorrow, I believe the Italians will win. They are very dangerous.
