do you think any of the crew's matches this year will be sold out? I've been to about 5 or 6 or 7 matches, and just about all have been about half- full, maybe 11-15 thousand. I assume it would be a lot better atmosphere if the stadium was full. maybe the first match vs. galaxy will be full?
does anyone know if any matches were sellouts last season?

I read that the home opener is sold out, but I'm not sure. The stadium is a lot of fun when it's sold out. Bring some friends to other games and it might be sold out more often. Also, try buck-a-brat night.

wow, are there usually around that many each year? i was thinking maybe the first and last games would sell out, but that would be great if there were 5 this year.

I think of the Crew as a team that gets a fuller stadium near the end of the season. Especially if we're doing well. Late July and August are typically highly attended if I remember correctly, but I don't have the numbers in front of me because I'm lazy.

    Speaking of the stadium...

A bit off topic, but I did not want to start a new thread over this.

I was on the official Crew (updated) website and could not find any pics of the stadium.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I've never been to a match that wasn't between the end of june and the beginning of august.

Well, I looked at the site, and couldn't find a damn thing either... so here's a link that you might like. It's got a wide variety of Crew related pictures. Enjoy.

    Those are awsome pic comparisons!!

Also, note that 2/3 of the "sell-outs" we had last year were mostly very boring. The Colorado game especially. The NE game was heart gripping for the fan -- but the casual observer (i.e. 40% of the stadium) thought it was a boring game.

Go to MLS Stats and select the scroll bar to go to the individual seasons. Under this menu is the attendance for all past games.

You also have to look at the weather factor. Last season, the early part sucked. Of course, if we schedule afternoon games in July and August, that'll make the attendance decline as well.

I have a feeling that more than a few people would rather be at the pool than at a Crew game in July at 4 PM in the afternoon.
