What a game! They left everything on the field.

Caicedo is such a joy and so happy Cata got her moment. Brutal way to lose it in penalties.

Por dios Daniela! What a goal by Daniela Montoya. Colombia beat Ecuador 2-1 on the road and we are the leaders in the first two matches of the 2027 World Cup qualifiers.
Solid game for Linda and Leicy, Carabali once again was horrible, causing an unnecessary penalty for Ecuador.

They actually beat Argentina 1-0 today in the She Believes cup. But the next opponent being the US is... well you know.

Last week, the U20 placed fourth in the South American tournament and advanced to the WC, which will take place in September in Poland. Based on the results, it looks like Argentina and Ecuador are making progress in women's football.

82nd minute a goal to the USA. We get 3rd place after losing 2 and winning only 1. At least this wasnt 4-1 this time.

    Never break tradition right?

Colombia played a very good first half and created some opportunities, but after the 60th minute they were forced to defend all the time and couldn’t hold possession at all.

It is clear that our squad is thin and that the USA is actually very deep; the Americans made 4 substitutions around the 60th minute and pushed the pedal to the metal, and eventually found a goal.

Except the USA, and possibly Japan and some European countries, women's soccer is still very niche and does not command heavy audiences. Even at the WC most matches are played in front of a few thousand people (if that many), and a big portion of them are family and friends of the players.

the tv numbers of the women World Cup are not bad at all….

some of the teams are all hot women that helps. Unlike wnba were it looks like a league of 12 year old boys who can’t dunk

our U20 gk looked incredible as did some of the cbs. That makes the game more popular. Women’s volleyball is way more popular than men’s…..

and um women’s tennis got more popular when that hot Russian chick was playing
