I'm very proud of the girls. They had a fantastic tournament; I was sure that it would be easier for Brazil. The girls were even better than Brazil in large parts of the game when Lorena kept saving the Brazilians. And we shouldn't forget that, unlike the men, these ladies must deal with an uncertain league, poor conditions, and so much disrespect by the people and federation. They did extremely well and secured a WC spot and an Olympic spot. They are a very strong team, and I hope they'll do good in these tournaments. And in the same week, the Dimayor probably won't start their women this year. Unbelievable. One step forward, 3 steps backwards. And despite all, GRACIAS CHICAS
I hate using the girls to shit on the boys as Vélez and many do but it was refreshing to see a Colombia team playing unafraid in a big game vs a “superior” rival. The girls came out to play and win or lose, they did their thing. Played with confidence and stayed true to their identity. The hardest part about supporting the boys is that you know it will be a shit show every time the play a “superior” team and I put that word in quotation marks because many times the other team is not much better or even better at all. It’s pathetic
I think it's because we have much bigger expectations from the boys than from the girls. When Colombia play against Brazil, we have hopes. Small, but hopes. We only need to guess by how many goals we'll lose when the girls play. Not because we disrespect them, but because women's football is extremely big. Plus, with all due respect, the men's football, for now, is much more prestigious than the women's tournament, while the girls have nothing to lose. I don't think we always shit our pants, we did shit many times. But for example, under Pekerman, I was much more relaxed than in the last couple of years. Colombian football needs to have a total make-over for us to succeed.

This is unbelievable. I was positive that after their brilliant Copa America, things would be smoother for the girls, but the DIMAYOR are a bunch of idiots. And in two days, the U20 will start their World Cup campaign. Many achievements by the ladies, 0 support by the federation

I look at how even Brazil doesn't support their women players and I wonder if we can do better...apparently not.

Once again we lost to Brazil by one goal. Men side or women side regardless of age, we are always the punching bag for that nation. It is very disappointing.

Again they need to fire the guys at the federation after what they said I mean beating Germany seems unlikely but no one thought they’d get this far.
