Roque Santa Cruz scored 2 goals again today, I think that puts him at 23 for the season, He could have had at leas 4 more goals if he would have taken the penalty kicks in that team, Especially in December when he was on fire and McCarthy missed a bunch of them, He could have easily stepped up and taken them and no one would have said anything, U never see Ronaldo passing on a PK, that would have put him in the top 3 scorers for the season, anyways Great job for Roque he is finally becoming the player we allways knew he could be.

Yeah, I just hope he doesn't go to Manchester United and rot on the bench like he did at Bayern even tho hes been better then both Rooney and Tevez.

Big news,

Carlos Paredes and Pipino Cuevas could be called up for the NT to play in the Kirin Cup

And from what I hear we're not taking our European or Mexico based players to that tournament.

They are our two starting strikers, only when we play at home, Haedo gets to go up front with them, I been saying it for years that Cabanias was good, I got a lot of crap for that, now I get to say I TOLD YOU SOOOOO jajajaj, but then again I been complaining about roque for just as long , so it evens out.

Yeah but they should be our sole starting strikers, I hate the 3 striker formation.

Tacuara and Haedo as subs.

Damn and along with Salcedo, Ayala, and even Achucarro, our striker department is crazy deep. I think we have one of the best striker department in the Americas probably only after Brasil and Argentina.

Tata announced Libertad's.....I mean Paraguay's roster for the Copa Kirin.

Arqueros
Derlis Gomez (Nacional)
Horacio Gonzalez (Libertad)

Defensores
Pedro Sarabia (Libertad) Old!
Pedro Benitez (Libertad)
Dario Veron (Pumas, Mexico)
Jorge Nunez (Cerro Porteno)
Denis Caniza (Cruz Azul, Mexico)
Edgar Balbuena (Libertad)
Mediocampistas
Edgar Gonzalez (Estudiantes LP, Argentina)
Victor Caceres (Libertad)
Carlos H Paredes (Olimpia)
Sergio Aquino (Libertad)
Jorge Britez (Cerro Porteno)

Delanteros
Osvaldo Martinez (Libertad)
Marcelo Estigarribia (Cerro Porteno)
Cristian Bogado (Estudiantes LP, Argentina)
Dante Lopez (Libertad) WHY?? WHY?? WHY??

Ok, I dont like this roster one bit but it does have some potential as far as the defense and midfield goes.

The forward list he called is freaking horrible, we have so many great forwards and he calls up Dante Lopez, AGAIN? WHY????? I don't know why Tata has such a hard on for the guy, HE SUCKS! Wheres SaSa? call him up, Ayala, Maciel, Barreiro, or ATLEAST call up Pipino!

This is how I would start if thats all we could work with....

Derlis Gomez

Denis Caniza
Dario Veron
Pedro Benitez
Jorge Nunez

Sergio Aquino
Carlos Paredes
Victor Caceres
Jorge Britez

Cristian Bogado
Osvaldo Martinez

But of course we'l probably have Dante Lopez and Pedro Sarabia starting

Does it really make a difference??? we took our A++++ team against Honduras and we lost, we used our A team against Venezuela and we lost, we take our C team against Venzuela at home and we tie, I came to the sad conclusion that we are never going to win friendly games, so my only hope is that we don't play them anymore. As for the Libertad thing, everyone bitched about tata using Cristian Riveros and Victor Caceres , everyone said the sucked and the only reason was because they are from Libertad (I was one of the ones bitching) and it turned out that both of them played great and are one of the main reasons for us being #1 in WCQ, so I learned my lesson there, as long as tata keeps us in the top 3 , he can play whoever he wants.

Did you see the lineup against Honduras??? We weren't even close to a full team, we did use a stronger lineup against Venezuela but it wasn't a full team either for neither game.

The last friendlies I remember Paraguay taking full teams where against South Africa, Austria, Colombia, and both games against Mexico.

My point is that we should be testing out players that are gonna benefit us in the future not old hags like Sarabia and guys that have no future in the NT like Dante Lopez. The only reason I agree with Paredes playing these friendlies is because Paraguay needs a replacement for Cristian Riveros for the game against Brasil.

I want to know if Paraguay is going to use the game to test how to play against Brazil, and how we are going to play in Asuncion, I was thinking we should be offensive in this city, but if we are going to play with two strikers, It´s fine 4 me.

By the way Cabañas it´s doing very well against brazilians!

With Emmanuel Adebayor probably leaving to Barcelona, Arsenal has shown interest in Roque Santa Cruz.

I think Roque would fit better with Arsenal then with Manchester United.

Ivory coast 1 Paraguay 1 final score, I saw the second half of the game, not a great game for us , but the effort was there, Christian Bogado came in the second half and was unstoppable scored the goal and he did more in 25 minutes than worthless Dante Lopez in the whole game, Ganzo Benitez had a pretty good game too,

I would say that it was good that they actually cared about the game, but it was clearly not the best roster we have, with that said if we had our A+ team we would have probably lost jajaja because they always play these games like they don't give a fck.

It says not found

But its ok, I found some highlights

We where shaky at first but I thought we played very well for the most part, Fabio Escobar almost had a golazo if it wasent for a great save by Copa.

Fantastic goal by Bogado
