By the way, we dropped 20 points in FIFA rankings, thanks to our awesome games agaisnt Colombia and Brazil. We are back where we should be... dead last in Conmebol at #57.
I'm sure Chavez caved by media pressure , and possible pressure from the BFF and donated $21,000 to the family of the kid that died
Really dirty how they're doing this kids family. The WHOLE REASON that match happened was because of his death. Instead, our federation is using it to raffle money for our clubs/santa cruz....and the kid is just given pennies. What crap!
The list is out boys, it is as follows: http://www.late.com.bo/la-lista-de-bolivia-para-jugar-con-paraguay-y-ecuador/ essentially the same one as for the friendly against Venezuela with the addition of 3 foreigners M3, Chuma, and Arze(who is playing in Belgium again).
I like the list, if I had to to change a couple of things I would keep Vaca (keeper) as far away from the national team as possible, he seens to doze off or something, its like he forgets where he's standing in relation to his goal. I would rather see Arias there, I would also like to see this guy Pontons, but Im not sure I would want to take anyone out for him.
Thanks Marco, just saw the latest on Galindo, basically he is in limbo. Since the transfer window closes atthe end of this month, I was wondering if there are any updates on him. ................. Are any of you guy on the Bolivia forum planning on going to the World Cup. Since i will be in Bolivia , i will be applying for some tickets. Im hoping somebody might be able to give me some tip on travelling to Brasil from Bolivia.
I too will be in Bolivia! I am going/trying to. I already applied to get ticket to watch USA. Let me know if you'd like to meet up or something.
If you already know your dates, I would try to buy the plane ticket asap. Looking at Kayak.com, it seems that most of the flights are well over 1,000 dollars for flights that usually cost between 300-400. Tip: check out Boliviana de Aviación - http://www.boa.bo Apparently you can already buy tickets for June-July 2014 to São Paulo and they are about $400. You can always fly to Puerto Suarez or take the train, and then continue on overland. It's a long haul, but it can be done.
I'll be in Brasil for the WC, not really gonna cheer for anybody just gonna get hammered out of my mind and party with folks. Let's have a Bolivia BigSoccer meet up. First round of caipivodkas are on me cholis.
I am also planning on going to the world cup to cheer on my team Bolivar. The bigsoccer meetup would be sweet. But maybe we should make a separate forym for that and discuss it there?!
Thats cool man! I would be interested in meeting up. Im going to apply meanwhile im looking at the travel costs for rooms so i can get an idea. Are you planning going to a couple games?
Thank for the tip! I would be all for a meetup btw! Im in the process of it at the moment. It is either stay for a couple days in sao paulo and catch 2 games or trek it and watch 3 games but in sao paulo, curitiba, then cuiaba then head back to bolivia. Not sure which is less costly at the moment.
That would be cool. US have stepped their game up too. Im not rooting for anyone in specific, im looking more for the host cities.
Guys... Why don't you make a thread about your trip.Like our national team I'm in no danger of going to brazil any time soon. About the nats, do we have a chance in Paraguay? If we loose we'll be in last place, I think it woul be great if we win with the same team that played Venezuela.
