One of the few things almeida did right was debuting enoc at 19 years old in the gold cup....on a side note have you guys notice that we have been producing short (not short but not tall either) center backs who are comfortable with the ball lately....moreno , Betancourt , pinto and the one with the most future estrada. ....he's barely 5 11 but he's been playing for malacateco since he was 15, last u20 at 17 and will be starting as the libero en el preolimpico and he's only 18
We always have produced short good CBs. Lijón León, his son El Chino, Hasse Ovalle (5'7), Allan Wellman (5'6) .. it's not a big hindrance if you can anticipate the play and have overall quality. Some of yhe greatest CBs were short: Passarella, Matthäus, Cannavaro, Puyol...
True but the problem seems to be we get manhandled all the time and referees in the region don't do shit.....also for short center backs we have to press high up the pitch Ala chile and we don't seem to be a proactive team

well we know that municipal no es el mejor equipo en encontrar oh valorar talento.. Pappa ? Prayeras, he is a 5'11 (some places have him listed as a 6'3) defender, plays on the right back.. haven't seen him play pero siempre comienza de titular and it seem he is ok saliendo con la pelota. he still belongs to municipal. right now he is on loan!
talvez este mal. no eh echo mucho research pero no creo que estemos tan mal como creemos. se an puesto a pensar porq a todos los centro americanos nos fueee de patada sorpresivamente??? y a los caribenos les fue muy bien?? creo que tiene que ver con la humedad. estados unidos esta con una humedad tremenda especialmente en la costa este... todos los equipos "grades" jugaron a mejores horas de el dia.. Estados Unidos y Mexico.. nuestro mejor partido contra mexico fue en un estadio con techo.. los equipos caribenos estan acosumbrados a este tipo de clima. nosotros no.. muchos de estos estadios no estan echos para soccer. si no para futbol americano. asta en elq se va a jugar la gran final aqui en philadelphia. nooo es una excusa, pero una observacion!
