What's happening to them? Many of them were part of the U21 side. It's not really clear why no Porto or Sporting players were released, but guys like Quaresma, Peixoto, Ricardo Costa, Ricardo Fernandes stack up to just about anyone on this list.

The reason there were not selected is because Sporting, Boavista, and Porto all have UEFA Cup matches next week.

I don't want to overanalyze this since it's only a 2-day camp, but there are a number of deserving players that were passed over.

No Ricardo Silva or Pedro Mendes (Guimaraes)? No Joao Pedro (Santa Clara)? No Silas (Leiria)? No Jose Manuel (Paços)?

Another strange thing about this: While at the "AA" level we are lacking in depth at Left back, 4 left backs were selected for this team (Carlos Fernandes, Pedro Henriques, Jorge Ribeiro, Fredy)!!!

btw, porto still has 2 players on this team. Both Tonel and Bruno Alves are Porto players on loan.

And out of all of them who shouldn't be there? Maybe, Miguel but all are good young players...

Its a long story between me and PortoMarco, I gave it to him with the A team and he was getting back at me.
