I think me and 655321 (or Alex if you will. :D) are both the results of NYE 72/73.

Mine is also Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On.

In the UK, the #1 tunes was Angel Fingers by Wizzard. Never heard of them or it....

    1971 Peter Salisbury

Well, at least I've heard of one of these people...

    #1 songs:
UK- "You'll Never Walk Alone" -Gerry and the Pacemakers
US- "I'm Leaving It Up To You"- Dale & Grace
One day I'm going to get a copy of "YNWA", so I can hear the whole song. My first experience with it was a Pink Floyd album, before I really became interested in soccer as a spectator.

    Life Theme songs:
    UK- "Under Pressure"- Queen/David Bowie
    US- "Physical"- Olivia Newton-John
    ...this is really bad music...
